Nice to see Arrow UK releasing some TT titles, to give a cheaper (and it seems, usually superior) option but more important to take the limited edition part out of the equation (although region B of course).
for me, it was a single box set (Artificial Eye's Truffaut collection) that persuaded me. I'm also more concerned about PQ than I am supplements, so the fact that many titles can be had in the $15 range versus Criterion's $20 and up and versus TT's $30, really makes it a win for my wallet, too.

TT's Facebook is saying July pre-orders go live on July 1

Not surprised. Based on their previous pattern, 6/24 seemed like the more probable, but since they switched a bit back from the pre-orders being roughly two weeks before street date rather than three, it seemed too long between the 24th and the 14th.

Looks like it won't be long for The Blue Max to join the TT sold out club. It's number 10 in the weekly sales, knocking out a Code Red title.

I can't believe The Mechanic still hasn't sold out. I guess i shouldn't be in a rush to buy 10 to Midnight.

I expected The Mechanic to sell out a lot faster also. It is the best release made of the film so far.

Was thinking about purchasing Experiment in Terror but have not seen it. Anyone recommend this as a blind buy?

On another note, I just wanted to jump back up on my The Mechanic soap box and say if you are a fan of Charles Bronson and you do not own the TT release of The Mechanic, buy it. You will not be disappointed.

The Mechanic is indeed an excellent 70's thriller with a good bit of action. A real pleasure to watch, and the BD looked pretty good. Recommended to fans of 70's action and Bronson for sure.

I just noticed this post on TT's facebook in response to someone's SAE issues......" we will continue with SAE but are going to add a newly-constructed portal to handle the overflow - this will be a hi-tech site with fulfillment being handled by Cinram, our manufacturers. Launch is a couple of weeks away."

I can't recommend it enough. It was a blind buy for me as well but well worth it.

I will bet you will love Experiment in Terror...great movie.

The most shocking thing about it is...directed by Blake Edwards!!

Experiment in Terror is a movie that's a prime candidate for an incredible collection of screenshots, it's got stunning shot after stunning shot. The plot isn't as good as the style, but that score with that cinematography...it's more than worth watching as a style exercise.

I'm guessing that this was the mysterious announcement that they said they were going to make by the end of May.

Could be and I wonder what caused the announcement to get delayed. I'm curious how this might also tie into the short period of time we saw other retailers list some of the TT titles on their sites.

Ah, but it's not the Pink Panther Blake Edwards; it's the Peter Gunn Blake Edwards. Ooooo...now that's a title that would be great to see from one of the Paramount licensors: Gunn (1967), Edwards' big-screen follow-up to his Peter Gunn TV series. Never even got a DVD release. I'll have to recommend it to Olive.
