Let me know... I was talking to a friend about it mentioning to her the music in the movie etc and she believed the version she watched not more than a year ago didn't include either the music and or scenes. possible licensing issues for sure. Shocked it could get a release that seems to have all the original music intact.

This blu was my first time seeing the film.

It was disappointing for a Truffaut film.

I also have Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and The Little House available, like new, for $26 shipped each if anyone is interested in those.

I'm quite familiar with the film, having seen it many times on various home video formats, as well as a 16mm print back in the day, and I don't recall there ever being any music licensing issues (i.e. "rescored" or excised scenes) on home video. I still haven't seen the Blu-ray, however.

random question, but my copy of "house of bamboo" arrived today and the plastic that covers the case and disc (essentially the outer from the store plastic) stuck to the spine. there are now little pieces i simply can not get off. does anyone know where to buy these exact cases? i would like to put it in a new one.

thanks!

Twilight Time's site sells the cases

And yeah almost my whole order of 6 TT BLUs this past week had the plastics stuck all around the case and spine. was really annoying. What ever company that are sealing these BLUs needs to go easier on them. it isn't like they need to be anti theft.

Cinram would be the culprit. Then again some of the Code Red titles I received today came the same way and they use a different replicator. I wish they would seal along the opposite side so that the plastic doesn't stick to the spine.

i hear you. it happens "from time to time" for me with various retailers, and it is annoying. quite a few of us are "particular," but even for those that are not, one should expect new items to arrive in, you know, issue-free condition.

okay. rant over. time to find another title to go with my cases. (and find some time to watch "house of bamboo")

Interesting that this is happening with TT releases. It happens now and then with just about anyone, but in my experience, Fox (and MGM titles that Fox distributes) seem to have the highest incidence of this problem.

Just curious, I read that Twilight Time holds a sale, once a year? Does anyone have more info?

In March 2014, Twilight Time had a Third Anniversary sale, marking three years since their first title was released. They selected 36 Blu-rays (one for each month in business) plus whatever DVDs were still in print -- undoubtedly ones that were moving the slowest -- and offered each for $10 off.

This past March, they had a Fourth Anniversary sale, with 96 titles (two for each month in business, including the three DVD titles still in print) available at $10 off.

It's assumed that in March 2016, they'll have a Fifth Anniversary sale. If the pattern holds, they should offer 180 titles. I wouldn't count on that, though.

Well, the dvd says 99 minutes and the blu-ray says 98 minutes. It's a head scratcher since I've watched the dvd in the last 6 months and there were a couple of scenes in the blu-ray that I just don't remember from the dvd. I'm going to have to look a little closer into this :-)

Although I know this isn't a real popular movie, I'm surprised it doesn't have its own thread.

I just noticed Amazon has the latest releases available for order, direct from them, although they're temporarily out of stock.

I felt the same way about it and The Bride who Wore Black. Both predictable films and rather disappointing IMO. Atleast with Mississippi Mermaid you get two great performances by Deneuve and Belmondo. Its far from a bad film, but something just didn't click for me there.

I'll give them both another chance. Maybe I'll warm up to it

Amazon seems to have their own listings for all of the 2015 TT titles. That's as far back as I looked so it could go back even further. Given the higher price point maybe Amazon is ordering directly from TT/Cinram.

Hi Guys -- just a heads-up that Twilight Time has no sales deal with Amazon, and Amazon have never ordered any stock from us. Their putting TT pre-order titles up on their site is wholly unauthorized, and we would recommend caution in purchasing - the September TT titles do not go up for pre-order until Aug 26th at http://www.twilighttimemovies.com and http://www.screenarchives.com ordering from Amazon will mean you will not receive stock for weeks after the release date if at all. We would recommend canceling these unauthorized transactions as you may never receive the product.

Thanks TT. It's not just these new releases but they seem to have their own listing for past releases too which was a surprise too me.

It's too bad SAE's third-party Amazon marketplace store doesn't get preferred placement on Amazon. Most often a third-party reseller that has drastically marked up these titles gets the front page spotlight since they are using Amazon Fulfillment services.

I got excited there for a second thinking I could use the world's biggest online media store to buy my media online. Phew, crisis averted.
