Keep wishing either Twilight Time or Criterion would get Mermaids from MGM/ Orion.

I'd be up for all three of the titles Akijama mentioned. Not interested in Baby Boom.

They'd have to get a licensing agreement with Universal first.

Yes, it's correct. Don't get used to it, though. They're only doing this one time because if they scheduled it on the last Wednesday of the month -- as they've been doing for a while now -- they'd be taking pre-orders on the day before Thanksgiving, when a lot of people will be otherwise occupied.

All of the other OOP titles are ones that I'm not interested in (mostly the horror titles) or already have.

If you can play RB Arrow's release of The Train easily beats TT, uses the same MGM master but with more extras. Also very cheap at only around $15 plus shipping from Amazon.co.uk

Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines has been issued by Fox in Japan. Is more than TT original price but significantly below what it goes for in the resale market. Has all extras except the isolated score. However is RA if you are outside North America as TT was region free.

Wonder if they're going to push back the monthly signing offer then if the pre-orders are on a Friday.

That would be spectacular, especially if Criterion picked it up. Great little film.

just saw where Gallipoli was released a few months back by Fox in Australia.
Can someone ask TT on Fakebook if they have this one in the pipeline for release in the US?
thanks in advance.
(I would ask myself but I don't do Fakebook)
(been wondering about this film getting a bd release in the US forever)

Not likely. In the US it's owned by Paramount, and Twilight Time doesn't as yet have a licensing deal with Paramount.

It has an audio issue which you may or may not hear, depending on your ear.
See the relevant thread for more information.
To me it was very obvious and i wouldn't recommend it!

Next week, Shout Factory will be releasing a widescreen DVD of FAREWELL, MY LOVELY. Conspicuous in its absence is any word of a Blu-ray release.

Is there any chance that TT might control Blu-ray rights to this title? The film has a great score that deserves an isolated audio track, which presumably TT could do.

Blu-rays wanted: HARDCORE, HOMICIDAL, SODOM AND GOMORRAH, THE INCIDENT, SHOCK TREATMENT (1964), PRIVATE PARTS (1972), RED SKY AT MORNING, THE HOUSE THAT SCREAMED, 8MM, GIRLS TOWN (1959).

DO you think TT site or SAE could have a coupon or something for Black Friday?
I wonder if I should order in 3 days or wait for Black Friday.

With TT's direct-to-the-customer sales eliminating at least part of SAE's piece of the pie, I can see them possibly throwing a bone to their customers. I wouldn't count on it, though.

It'll be interesting to see how TT's separate-from-SAE's market affects a Fifth Anniversary Sale (still hypothetical, until they actually announce one).
