I'll pick up A PRAYER FOR THE DYING and CHATO'S LAND, probably skip the reissue of THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTFOOT (picked up the Kino DVD since I missed out on the Twilight Time Blu-ray).
Rourke and Hoskins are pretty great in A PRAYER FOR THE DYING (wonky accents aside). |

Replying to someone in the comments section, Twilight Time also confirmed Who'll Stop the Rain (aka Dog Soldiers) with Nick Nolte will also be getting a blu ray release.

Well if they re-release Enemy Mine, better artwork would be a bonus. ![]() |

Great news. Great movie, Nick Nolte's second best performance after Affliction and an equally great performance by the often under-rated Tuesday Weld as the femme fatale. I just might dig out my copy of Robert Stone's Dog Soldiers and re-read it in anticipation.

I've said any number of times that because we consumers aren't privy to any information regarding TT's contracts with the studios, we can never actually know when the 3-year period begins. The release date (or pre-order date) is just the most obvious point we can latch onto; it certainly wouldn't be any later than that. It's actually most likely to be a specified date in the contracts. Consider that if the period begins when they sign the contracts, any delays in production -- as with, say, Zardoz, in which the delay was because of Fox -- would shorten TT's window of exclusivity. Of course, beyond all that, it's really just speculation on our part that the 3-year window must be up before they can release a new edition. If a title's original release is sold out, neither TT nor the studio has any particular reason to enforce the 3-year window before offering a reissue with a new window. |

Great news about Cutter's Way one of my most aticipated releases on Blu-Ray. Of Course being a devout Charles Bronson fan Chatos Land is a welcome announcement. Last, as a die-hard Clint Eastwood fan and because I already missed it the first time, I'll gladly purchase Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. Again, some great titles announced.

The three year window is only there for TT's benefit, to remove competition while they try and sell their limited stock. They can probably waive it if they want to, or it might not even be a factor at all to them negotiating a new contract since the wording might just be "3 year moratorium on any competing contracts." |

If anyone is wanting a copy of State of Grace at cost ($22 with shipping), let me know. I forgot that I ordered it with last month's signed promo, so I wound up ordering an additional copy during the sale last night.
