Did Spiderman 1,2 or 3 Play Using Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra?

using uj-210 matshita bd-re, and cyberlink powerdvd ultra. My other BDs work properly, but Spideys don't (spidey2, the menu does not come up, but I continued to press forward, and it took me directly to the movie)
any idea why? or there will be an update to fix this soon?

it is becuase of the lacking of bd-j for computer drives(some wont even play the movie let alone just skip the menu) but eventrualy yes it will be

It's not a drive issue, just a software one. There should be another PowerDVD update soon to correct the problem.

thanks..... Hope that will be soon. I am curious if it's BD-J or BD+ that caused this problem. Does spidey have BD+ protection? (Pirates, a BD-J titles, work perfectly in my laptop)

BD+ uses BD-J. And no, I don't think Spiderman 2 is new enough to have BD+. Most likely, they menu uses some enhanced BD-J feature that isn't supported by the software.

I C..... thanks. hope that will be soon, so I can enjoy better sound. My laptop has 5 speakers, while the monitor of my ps3 only has two.

Hi ALL I picked up Spider-Man: The High Definition Trilogy and got home and tried to play any of the Spiderman Blu-rays with my computer using Cyberlinks PowerDVD Ultra and nothing comes up. PowerDVD plays ALL of my other Blu-rays but not any of the Spiderman BD's.
But I than tried WinDVD BD/HD version and no problem playing any of the Spiderman BD's. So for some reason Cyberlinks PowerDVD Ultra wont play the any of the Spiderman BD's. I did go to Cyberlinks website to see if theres any patch or updates but I didn't find any. My firmware is upto date. Just wondering if anybody has this problem too and if they got it to work?

Maybe you already looked, but did you search for any firmware updates to the player?

While this place is great for answers, it doesn't hurt to contact their technical support in the meantime.

no for spidey 1. yes, for spidey 2, but you can't access the menu. you got to continue to press skip button till it display the movie. haven't tried the third

I'm not sure about this, but I know some new titles use new AACS keys that revoke playback on PowerDVD. I don't actually know if the Spiderman movies are among these titles. There is an update to PowerDVD expected shortly.

You have to get the absolute latest version of PowerDVD. Its 7.3.3319a. I think it might only be available by using the update feature within the program. Also to see the real version of your app open the About box and click on your name.

All 3 discs work fine here with the latest version.
