Why don't we just all not be hostile? It isn't difficult.

Lets get back on top please. We all may not agree with each other but lets at least try to respect each other.

But I don't always like being on top. Sometimes I like to be on the bott... wait, what are we talking about?

That could be said about most posters including folks like you. IMO, folks making statements as fact should provide a reference. Ever since the days of local BBS's and CompuServe I have always used my real name and provided a reference.

I would prefer to have all my UHD titles to have a 4K DI but as I stated earlier I do not believe that will happen till cost comes down.

In the mean time I will also do without HDR and WCG because I am not willing to give up my projector and 135" scope screen.

There is absolutely a wise argument to be made for delaying diving into the UHD pool. I would be in the BD section making that argument today if it weren't for my wife throwing me into the deep-end at Christmas. However this logical patience is not the same thing as posting on here "2k masters on UHD are worthless lulz."

Had a Sony VW600 4K projector for almost three years now, Sony FMP-X10 (now sold) right after it came out, Oppo UDP-203 on release date as well as a Sony UBP-X800. So I have had 4K for awhile now.

The view of some is the product is being marketed as UHD/4K while the source is 2K in most cases and that upsets them. I agree with them, the cover should indicate any 4K/UHD title that is sourced from a 2K DI. Forget bout it, not going to happen!!!

Where are the updates instead of this 2K vs. 4K on UHD debate?
I enjoy seeing lists, dammit!

Thanked again!

I have to point this out again; if you folks are happy with the 2K DIs then why are you hanging about on a 4K SPECIFIC thread?
It is pretty simple... you just want to argue about something on the internet.

The format is advertised as 4K but we get disc after disc of unconverts improperly/dishonestly branded... which of course necessitates a thread such as this one.

These studios are pissing down your back and telling you its raining.

It's almost like they're all branding terms that don't really mean much, just like "Hi-fi" and "HD" and the million others from "premium edition" to "low fat."

Same as Florence and the Uffizi Gallery 3D, a 4K/3D documentary made by Sky 3D, finished in 4K.
