Default Release listing for UK and Region A's that work inRegion B

Hey guys,
could anyone help in directing me towards a full listing of all region B (Europe) Blu ray movies, and perchance any that are region free...

I just got my PS3 and would love some flix to watch but my local store has like 5-10 mediocre titles. .

Thanx

Z

Default Regions.

Ok, I've had my BD10a for a couple of weeks now and very impressed with it I am.

But, I have eight titles so far and none seem to have any indication of region coding on them. Where a DVD usually has it printed on the inlay card, nothing appears to be noted anywhere on the Blu-ray cover.

The titles are:

Fantastic Four
Casino Royale
Hitchhiker's Guide
Lady in the Water
The Fugitive
Swordfish
Species
World Trade Centre

I saw The Departed the other day on standard definition and I just HAVE to get it on BD. On ebay all the listings say Region Free (although I'm frequently sceptical of ebay media offerings) and on Amazon.co.uk there is no indication whatsoever.

Can somebody help clear this region thing up for me? Are there releases on 'any region' BD? Are the regions definitely set as 1US, 2EUR, 3ASIA or are there variations?

With BDs being darned expensive in the UK, I don't want to buy something that doesn't work with my player.

Cheers.

Are you taliking DVD regions (numeric) or BD regions (alphabetic)?

There's been a few threads on the region subject, one of those threads about the Departed in particular. Search

There's at least one website listing multiregions discs (link is in some of those threads). Theres also joshd2012's BD import guide too.

Question About Regions?

Hi,

I'm planning to open a small blu-ray movie webstore in Finland, and I'm currently talking with the finnish distributors about selling the movies...that's not an issue there, but the amount of translated finnish movies is rather limited for now, and I'm sure the people looking to actually buy blu-ray movies from a 'specialized' store are looking for something that isn't available in supermarkets..

So here's my question;

Do say Japanese/US/region 1 movies play on european players? (ps3 included)? Ie. is Blu-ray regionfree?

I can always do a test of buying one disc, but it might be a fluke that it works..and when I order say 100.. 90 of those don't work. If you know my meaning.

...also, if anyone is intrested in having me resale their product, or has wholesale prices for blu-ray movies that are GUARANTEED To work on european machines, feel free to private message me.
