Logan at the very least was a true closing chapter for Jackman and Stewart's 16yr take on two iconic roles spanning seven and nine films for Stewart and Jackman respectively, so to say "it's not a finale if they're making X-23" seems to be completely missing the point.

C'mon though, do you seriously think we won't be seeing any more Captain America or Thor films? Iron Man, maybe there's a strong argument there that Infinty War could be Downey's final take on Stark and maybe they'll have the balls to kill off Steve Rogers so they can usher in a new Captain, but I'd bet good money that we'll be seeing more of Rogers and Thor after Infinity War.

Your going to have comes to grips with actors not wanting to play these characters forever.

I couldn't care less if we never see another superhero film again, we're already drastically oversaturated and Captain America and Iron Man are already well past their sell-by-date (and I have no real interest in seeing Bucky take over either, just shelve them and reboot a few years later)! But when they're regularly breaking through the $700million dollar barrier worldwide (and $400million+ domestically) the studios really don't have much incentive to put the breaks on unless they can no longer persuade their stars to return no matter how much money they throw at them. I'm just reading Hollywood, nothing else.

Like I say, maybe Tony Stark and maybe Steve Rogers will bite the dust, but I can see them both surviving and the franchises simply moving on with alternative leads.

I'll believe it when I see it. 17 films in and the only semi-major death was Quicksilver, and he only was in one film. New contracts can be made, whether big or small. Or small deals can be made for cameos or a small role in a future film. With their pansy stakes-less approach thus far, I more expect for these characters to go into retirement and have someone else take up their mantle. If Tony, Steve, or Thor dies in the movie and stays dead, I'll be more than happy to eat my words. I remember before Civil War came out, everyone thought at least someone would bite the dust. Yet no one did, the thought was ignored, and the movie achieved acclaim anyways. Seeing how it's all worked out for Feige and gang thus far, I doubt they feel desperate need to add some real stakes in. As far as the actors not wanting to play these characters forever, they may not, but their careers aren't exactly sunshine and rainbows outside of this universe.

Ant-Man 2 hits next July and Guardians 3 is already confirmed.

Kevin Feige probably meant that this is the "final" Avengers movie. But I don't like the way he says it, though. Because it kinda makes him sound like a hypocrite. If Logan is not considered a "final" just because there are more X-Men-related movies coming up, then The Avengers 4 shouldn't be considered a "final" either.

The seeds are there for a new Captain and a new Iron Man. There's also seeds there for new Avengers like Spider-Man, Black Panther and Doctor Strange to step into the spotlight.

I hope to goodness they don't kill off Hulk, he has yet to have his own solo movie trilogy, incorporating a Hulk trilogy within Thor Ragnarok, Avengers infinity War and Avengers 4 dosen't count.

Never said there were, stating that there are seeds in place for new people to take over. First Avengers team has to be getting a bit tired of it at this point and they're not getting any younger.
