Came back from watching it in IMAX and I loved every single minute of it. I never thought Marvel would have the balls to make a movie as epic and relentless as this. Easily now my favorite MCU movie and I can't wait to watch it again.

The Russo's definitely defer to source material.

I think this is the first MCU movie where Thor was actually The Mighty Thor God Of Thunder .

I saw it in real 3d. Did anyone else find a lot of the scenes dark? It wasn’t as bad as Jumanji which I saw again just because the darkness was so distracting but I definitely noticed. I took the glasses off a few times and the image was much brighter without the glasses on.

Was the movie filmed with imax cameras? I got that sense that it was from the credits. Was the image expanded in imax? I usually see Marvel movies in imax but all the imax 3d showings were post noon start times which raises the ticket price by about $10 so I went with real 3d. And starting next week they stop with imax 3d and only have imax 2d (and still real 3d). Wonder what movie is taking the imax 3d spot in theaters.

My theater sitll has one showing of Black Panther. First time ever two MCU movies played at once at the theater!

Thumbs up

Thanos is the Daniel Plainview of the MCU.

This is probably the darkest, cerebral, shocking, beautifully ethereal, of the MCU. And it's honestly a good thing Thor: Ragnarok had the tone it had before witnessing this story.

It's more an epic apocalyptic poem with Lord of the Ring story telling. It does things you were twistedly hoping for, yet you're not quite prepared for it. It also has some of the most natual non-forced humor of the recent movies. In the sense the humor isn't used as an antidote to something tragic that preceeded prior.

It's not 100% perfect considering the shock value will diminish over time for some things; which originally adds to what makes it so good. I do think the ending events is on par with new views experiencing the Darth Vader reveal in TESB.

For me, it's definitely amongst the top best of the MCU as a whole.

Trivial fact: Avengers: Infinity War opened 1,092 days after Avengers: Age of Ultron in which The Avengers opened 1,092 days before it.

In the words of Thanos, you can say that was "perfectly balanced."

The movie goes by so fast. It felt like an hour and not 2.5 hours...that does not happen to me very often. I will be going back to see again with my son. I went to the 9:40 AM showing today but he was as too tired to get up .

I just got back from my first viewing, saw it in IMAX 3D.

WOW.. what a movie. 10 years paid off. I loved it. Thought it was fantastic.
It is now my favorite of the films. The 3D was GREAT. Can't wait to have the 3D Blu Ray.

Plan to go see it a second time next week and prolly a 3rd time.
I can't stop thinking about it. And i agree it went by so fast it did not feel like a 2.5 hour film. Russo's want the 2nd part to be longer? Makes me happy.

In the Russo's I trust.

5/5 !

I will leave my review later as I'm very tired. I just came back from the mall.

I just wanted to say, for dead technology, 3D was very pleasant in this movie. Depth was excellent, specially in outer space scenes. Objects flying off the screen is a thing of the past, it seems.

I rarely see movies in 3D in theaters, that's something I always do at home, but I couldn't pre-order tickets for this unless I choose 3D. At first I wasn't happy about it, my girlfriend neither but we both thought 3D was very well done.

To resume, movie was fantastic and I can't wait to see it again. I will buy the 4K editions and I will also get a hold of an overseas 3D version - no matter what. This movie should be seen in 3D. I support 4K but damn, they made it look like 3D was off the hook.

I felt the exact opposite. The 2.5 hour movie felt like a 3.5 hour movie. Besides the Thor movies, they all have felt like 1.5 hours. I just felt like there was too much going on that it was never ending.

It's funny how this proves, once again, that time is relative. I agree with Blu, to me it was an hour and a half tops. Movie went by so fast.
