Nothing about Superheroes cries REALISM, despite Nolan's best efforts it is still a genre that is inherently fantastic and unreal.

As for him being lame, he does get the shaft when it comes to writing, but he has great potential if only someone would know how to write for the character.
Exactly. I was happy for Renner in Age of Ultron since Whedon gave him more to do and more dialogue. There's room for improvement but I'm digging Hawkeye as well as Renner in the role.

I like Scarlett and I understand people want a female solo film but I would be hard pressed to go see a BW solo film in the theater. She's just not that interesting to me. With that being said I can't wait for Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman. Yeah, I know WW is DC but I'm talking about female centric superhero films overall.

She is the worst Avenger imo. Her acting is awful.

I think her acting is fairly good in some of her other films but in the Marvel movies, yeah, it's not all that great.

If the movie sort of sticks to the comic, in which half of Earth's superheroes at the beginning of the story vanish/die thanks to Thanos, does anyone think this would be a good idea:

Show those superheroes right before they vanish fighting crime in a series of quick cuts such as:
- Snipes' Blade
- Jane's Punisher
- Garner's Elektra
- Cage's Ghost Rider
- Cox's Daredevil

And any other non-important superhero characters that Marvel have the rights too. Would they even be allowed to use a quick shot of Church's Sandman?

It would be a nice epic way of connecting everything...even if those characters were in bad movies.

What if they do something bigger and kill off Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Captain America?

No. You aren't going to see Marvel Studios reference, or use clips of, anything they didn't make. Aside from Cox's Daredevil, they didn't make any of those, and while they own the rights to those characters, they don't own the rights to the footage from those films.

They have their own Elektra, their own Punisher, and will probably have their own Blade and Ghost Rider soon... they're not going to showcase them in one of their films nor make people think those versions are part of the MCU.

I think she's better than Renner, Hemsworth or Ruffalo in the Avengers films.

Other than Daredevil (obviously) and maybe Blade I don't think they want to take any of those characters into the MCU as they were.

Why on earth would they do that? Especially when you know Punisher already has his own marvel version, and Elektra/Blade are likely to get MCU versions soon too.

Anyone else not believe this news that Infinity War part I and II have a combined budget of one billion?

http://www.bleedingcool.com/2015/10/...llion-dollars/

Seems ridiculous, especially since the source is "huddled conversation with very well sourced comic book film insiders in New York bars."

I'm sure the budget will be high up there, but a billion? Very, very doubtful.

Half a billion combined budget would be much more believable.

Yeah, even six hundred million, tops, when all is said and done. But I don't think anyone, not even Marvel, would spend one billion dollars on two movies. They'll make $1.5 billion on both films I'm sure, but that box office take becomes a lot smaller if you have to spend a billion right out of the gate.

I am thinking that perhaps 700 million tops.

Even the Hobbit trilogy had a combined budged of only(?!) about $745 million. One billion dollars is just absurd.

Aren't they shooting this movie with IMAX cameras all the way through? Maybe the higher res affects the budget for the CGI, visuals and time spent/people working on them as well. Just a thought.

It's not that we can't see how they could go through a whole billion, it's just that it's a bit like shooting themselves in the foot by doing it.
