I don't either. Don't get me wrong - I've really liked almost all of the Marvel movies (maybe all but one at this point). At the same time, I think many are extremely overrated and are forgiven for certain failings because of how cool some of the sequences are (I really like Black Panther, but can't even comprehend the, IMO, overblown reaction to it).

From a story/character standpoint, I think Civil War is a mess. It's a highly enjoyable mess for me, though. I don't find anything necessarily BAD about it.

I think "Infinity War" was way more solid than "Civil War". It might be my favorite of the Marvel movies. Really, I'm not going to be able to properly judge it until I see the next one - I have a feeling they really need to go together.

I don't care for the villain in Civil War. Whenever I rewatch Civil War I fast forward through all of the moments with him.

Weird, I thought Zemo was easily one of the best (or at least most interesting) MCU villains.

If you have an opinion that says anything other than "This movie was amazing jaw dropping awesome! Best movie yet!" Then you're a stupid troll! Keep out of here with your unwanted opinion! If you rate it lower than a 4 then you're also a stupid troll, so I'll just ignore you!

^ That seems to be the basic mentality here. I respect all opinions of course, there is no need for belittlement or unfair treatment due to differing opinions. Everyone enjoys what they enjoy, and that's fine. People just need to chill out a bit. It's only a movie.

I personally gave it a 2/5 (rounded from a 2.5, since I was actually split on the movie, with my review over in the spoiler thread as to not ruin anyones experience in this non-spoiler thread), so I guess that automatically makes me a stupid troll for having my own mind and thoughts, even though I've quite enjoyed other MCU movies previously. The thing is, there's over 8 billion people in the world. Not every single one of them is going to LOVE Infinity War and give it a 5/5. Please, get over yourselves.

I loved Civil War and Thor Ragnarok but i do agree Incredible Hulk is vastly underrated and it's my second Phase 1 film behind Iron Man 1.

Saw it last night and am still buzzing, thoroughly enjoyed it!
Saw it at Cinemark XD so we got a mini poster of the final payoff poster. Also picked up one of the gold gauntlet style cups.

Love this movie! So many surprises. So many conflicting emotions. 2 girls sitting next to us were so upset about the ending they started crying! Yes that's how powerful this film was! I give it 4.5/5.

Where does it rank amongst the other MCU films?

The Avengers
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Avengers: Infinity War
Guardians of the Galaxy
Captain America: Civil War

The 10 year wait was completely worth it. I gave it a 10 out of 10. Thanos was a beast. I can’t wait to see it again tomorrow in IMAX.

The penultimate episode of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has arrived and like the 18 films before it, it is a combination of quite good, quite not good, sprinkled with a little “why”, a pinch of WTF, and finally a feeling of “well, I WAS entertained.” This thing is a structural mess of film(probably on purpose, considering the TV nature of the franchise itself) that is literally a series of action vignettes, built around an ending that’s meant to set the stage for another penultimate episode and then finally, maybe a series finale.
Making Thanos your protagonist and antagonist as a way to fix the mistake of not building him up properly over 18 films and to fix the villain problem that the MCU has had for the majority of its films may have been a tactical error. There is a difference between getting an audience to understand your villain and making them sympathize with him. Nevertheless, what good is in the film is brought to you by Hemsworth, Saldana, and Olsen. They are the MVPs that save this film.

In the end, yeah, I guess it’s fine. I’m not overly enthused with it. I have no hatred towards it. I’m squarely in the middle...like I have been with this universe since 2012.

You worded that better than I did in my review. Totally agree and also come to the same split, a 2.5 for me.
