So I definitely just finished all the tutorials I could find in LBP but didn't get the trophy. Am I missing something? I did the creator tutorials up to building a living creature... I think that was the last one...

Are there others?

There are some "hidden" tutorials. When you're on the level editor, pull up your pop-it menu, and go to the tool bag (the "sack with gears" at the bottom left corner) and open it. From there, scroll through the various items/options in the pop-it, and look for a little "?" attached to any item. When you select one of those marked items another tutorial will begin (or rather, the option to start another one). After you've gone through all those, you'll have your trophy.

Trademark. . . . or obsession! (The two are so closely linked. )

Yeah, I probably spend more time on lighting then a lot of people spend on there entire levels. That doesn't make my levels any better than theirs, just means I'm a details freak who sits around tweaking lights till I get "just the right effect" that I'm looking for.

That was one of the reasons I let my Winter series die when that level crashed - I bet I have over 200 lights, each one tweaked specifically, in that level - no way I could even think of doing that again.

I know some people would find it incredibily tedious - but I also like taking pictures of sunsets as a hobby, and just love dramatic colors. (My poor wife must think I'm insane sitting around tweaking light after light, then trying different colors.) Hopefully, the lighting is dramatic, but doesn't call attention to itself too much. That's the goal anyway.

But you are correct, I seem to have an obsession with lights - might as well call it a "trademark" - makes it sound like something you probably shouldn't be taking medication for. . .

There's no shame in taking pride in what you do, even if its not your job. Or should I say especially. Now I want to try yours, Cymbol. Do you have a complete list of your created levels?

I want to use the laugh that the little kid laughs with that's in the racecar... The little black kid with the fro... what's that named?

Also, do I need to complete story mode before I can finish the tutorials?

I'm sorry, but that is the funniest question that I have heard regarding a video game. The tutorials by very definition are designed to provide instruction. In no situation have I ever heard of having to complete a game in order to learn how to use it.

No , you can do all the tutorials. If there is a line underneath the tutorial it means you haven't done it yet.

I thought the SAME thing... But didn't know because of how the creation is separate from the game itself.

Aw, shucks. Thanks.

I actually went back and made a few minor changes to Chaplin last night, but nothing that really changes the level at all. At some point I think I'll actually sit down and try to reposition the "Scene 1", "Scene 2"... signs, since I really want to make them as centered on the screen as possible. I just hate making minor changes to my level, and then having to play through the entire thing just to see how they look when actually played. Anyhow, this leads me to something I hope to see in the game:

Add a special door tool that is only available in create mode. Basically you put the door wherever, and then hit "switch to play mode" and it makes you come in through that door. That way I can play-test certain parts of my level over and over, without having to run through the entire thing. (I also hate trying to play through parts in create mode, because then I have to worry about properly resetting everything, so that it's all back in place).

Thanks - like I said in the heart thread - I went to play your level - and discovered I had already hearted your level and you.

Glad to see toefer's Chaplin level mentioned. A lot of the art levels don't get the credit they deserve.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

My levels are in my sig.

Unfortunately, the Winter Wonderland series was recently discontinued after 2 crashes - one which lost the level 2 seconds before it was about to be published. It was a month's worth of work and my most polished level to date. It set me too far back to continue the series in a timely manner.
This actually cost me the other level which was the Boss Battle for the crashed level.

So, I only have 3 published levels (although I have created 5). One word of warning, the biggest complaint I get about my level is that they are long. Each one is tipping the themometer and most take 5 minutes or more.

The Garden at Midnight - first level I ever made, trying to learn how to use the tools.
Winter Wonderland, Part I - read above.
The Great Race - almost all the levels I've made have been for single player. I decided to try and see what I could think up for a multiplayer specific level.

I am currently making a level called, "Puzzle Wheels" (A feature in the crashed level I made).

Yeah, I realized they don't, though I don't mind. I have a bit of fun making the levels, so there's still a reason for me to make them, even if nobody plays them. I'm considering doing a Wizard of Oz themed level next, but will see what's out there first, and then figure out how to go about making the level.

Also, now that I finally moved some of my pictures from the PS3 to my computer, I can start dumping Chaplin everywhere, like here:

This was [obviously] the picture I was going for, but a sackboy can only move his hand so close to his mouth:

Does anyone know of a list online that states which levels have x3 and x4 prize bubble puzzles in them? I can't seem to find any list. I want to help my half-brother, but I don't want to go through the WHOLE game again.

I was looking around for the same thing the other day, this list probably isn't complete, but its a start:

3x Levels
The Bunker
The Magician (not sure that's the exact name)

4x Levels
Dancer's Court
Frozen Tundra
Collector's Lair

I've redone my pinball level (it's not exactly the same as the original that the game trashed but close enough).

Once you're done with the pinball part I've also added a little bit of shooting that uses the paint gun just before the end.

The level name is LittleBigPinball, hope you get some enjoyment out of it

p.s. Don't think bad of me if you randomly die (if you play it you'll know what I'm talking about), it seems that if your sackbod is traveling at speed and hit's something at the wrong angle he dies I've tried to minimize it as much as possible (it doesn't happen all the time anyway) but it still will happen every now and again!

I saw that you published it - and hopped on right away. I believe I was the first person to play it.

Thought you did an awesome job. I did randomly die my first time on the launch button. I thought, uh oh, I'm going to hate having to inform him his level is broke - but then it never happened again and I had a great time playing pinball. Great job!

Hearted the level.

Thankya kindly

Yeah, sometimes the launcher kills you for no good reason! Another common place is at the top when you launch, you fly right into the glass and again it kills you. I tried to make the curve as smooth as possible and it still does it sometimes. I also tried to get rid of all sharp corners, but it can still do you in if it feels like it. It's annoying when it happens (which is why I gave it a six life thing) but doesn't happen too often luckily.
