Funny you should say that - I was going to put some steps you had to jump out onto that would wind up and let you jump "on top" of the elevator to get the prize - but decided that no one would ever think to look there.

Ok, so - the secret room. . . . I'll send you the directions in a PM.

Some folks may not want it handed to them on a silver platter!

I think it will be funny when you find out where it is.

EDIT: PM sent.

Yesterday I quit the game, and then hit the eject button on the PS3, to switch games, and the PS3 shut off just as the disc was coming out, which hasn't happened before. Not exactly the same as restarting, but still odd.

IGN has a new article up with 5 new user levels worth playing.

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/944/944012p1.html

I am now somewhat inspired to re-tool Connect Four, and figure out a way for it to detect winning.

Also, it seems like only yesterday that Teenbonesy sent me messages about the Chaplin level, and kept telling me about a level he was working on about movies. Now seeing The Movies mentioned on IGN makes me feel happy for him or her, or whatever a teebonesy is.

I've had my PS3 restart a few times (no rhyme or reason to it) - and I have the "white screen" a LOT going in and out of levels. Always scares me. I'm always waiting for another level of mine to crash.

Alright - Puzzle Wheels is up! Be aware - the level takes 20 minutes or more.

There are four Puzzle Wheels - the fourth one is optional.

"The Glass Slipper" (Just right for beginners)

"In the Wall" - Weave in and out of the Wheel to the Wall to remove barriers and get to the other side.

"Colorful Collosus" - a Mega Maze - fight disorientation and make your way through this colorful giant.

This thing is massive - here is me in a tiny part of it.

After Colorful Collosus - you may leave the level early (you've earned it. ). However, for those who will take nothing less than becoming a Puzzle Wheel Master, there is one final challenge.

"The Four Corners" - This was taken in the beginning of the design phase - I'll let you discover what was put inside.

Good luck everyone.

Just finished up Puzzle Wheels. I have no idea how long it took me, because I had to play it twice, and took a break during the second play. I published Chaplin right before playing Puzzle Wheels, and after finishing PW, I saw that Chaplin said it was published 48 minutes ago, so I figure the 2nd time through took at least 20 minutes (if you take out the breaks I took).

The trickiest part of any of the puzzles for me was the part of the 3rd wheel that is purple-ish, with the metal trimmed purple square wall things all over the place. It got a bit frustrating at times, because I had no idea what I was even supposed to be doing, as it was hard to try to get a sense of where I was even going.

Luckily I was able to make it through all 4, though I was about ready to break a controller.

On the final wheel, I was having a hard time even getting the timing down to get into the wheel. On my 3rd to last life, I managed to grab the foam, but as it was being reeled in, I got crushed and died. On the 2nd to last life, I died like I did plenty of times before, by jumping too soon, and being catapulted up into the air, and eventually hitting some sort of electricity. So on my final life, I somehow managed to make it in, and luckily the rest of that one isn't too hard.

So I think if people have a bad reaction to the puzzle wheels, it may not be because the wheels themselves are difficult, just that it seems hard to get into them sometimes. I liked the color scheme of the final wheel (if you can even call that one a wheel), though I think the colossus one is definitely the best.

Haha, yeah - that is definitely a personal favorite design of mine. I also personally find it disorienting - but I just really loved the way it turned out - and as frustrating as it can be, I hope people get at least a little smile on their face and think, "This is freakin' crazy!" I liked it so much that I made it the Icon for the level.

I am so glad no controllers were injured during your gameplay. Seriously though, thanks for sticking it out.

Sorry about the crush glitch - I found and fixed that VERY soon after - but getting reeled in wasn't supposed to have any dangers.

Well, so far, most people haven't left comments - but early on I got the "rubbish" tag, and I also got a comment saying it was the best thing they've ever played on LBP. So, I guess each comment cancels each other out.

It seemed to be racking up the plays quickly when I went to bed. I think the "Advanced Gamers Only" is causing people to feel challenged and check it out.

Anyway - glad to see your a Puzzle Wheel Master toefer, I expected no less from you.

PSN ID - CYMBOL

Go to "My Levels" - the first page shows you any levels you've created - hit R1 to scroll through your hearted levels.

Also, you can do that with your buddies. Select them from your friends list - look at their levels - then hit R1 to go through their hearted levels if you want.

Btw CYMBOL,

On your great race there is a bug on the first race where its not possible to get into the bottom wheel without the user pulling it backwards first, last night it usually took 2 people to pull it back so someone could get into it.. then the others would take there place's. might want to move it back some...

Probably a foot... we had to restart the first race a few times till we got the groove down.

Oh and Puzzle wheel was astonishing you have set the bar on puzzle wheels.
---

Okay onto the next issue at hand, the following changes will be conducted to wheeler...

Revert Camera angles, I original set them right, but no I had to modify them when I put a key in there and I zoomed them out too far.. I wanted people to look at the 3 sac people.. one made of lightning, another of fire and the last made of gas... it was a wasted after thought...

---

Okay onto the next issue at hand, the following changes will be conducted to advanced swinger...

Glue the last check point firmly into the world, originally I have convinced myself to keep it unglued as a trap that if a player knocked it over into the flames.. after playing it with some others Ive concluded that this was just plain mean taking the words of one our lovely charming beta testers Stephie_is_a_dork.

Remove spikes off of 2 sponges... I had added this to keep the player on there toes but then I realized when played on multiplayer they don't go noticed unless all players are close together. Its another case of being a mean author and they serve no purpose but to upset the players, so gone they shall go.

It took us awhile but it was proven with a 3 man team it was possible to get to the end, through it requires more thinking and if you have a team it requires good coordination...

While the depris in the front of the stage is from a previous failed attempt I decided to keep it there as a way of setting the mood...

----

One last thing, after the above changes are finished I plan to conduct work on one last map called failure... and then that will be it... As I must return the game today thus it will be my last attempt at map making...

---

If you are interested in playing advanced swinger before I make my changes the key is located in wheeler under some dissolve block near the end right before I the scale that marks no more players can join...

Use the blu-ray.com sticker to dissolve the blocks...

---

I did do some playing with veiciles I made a elevator type object but I never really published it, I wish I had more time to play with things.. but I fear my time is going to end soon...

---

About failure.. in my previous title wheeler I placed wheels on the level.. there purpose was not to get the player to the end which they could do... but there real purpose was to mock the player...

Mock the assumed purpose of the wheels... Assumptions society outlook onto purpose are themes I plan to knock while working on failure, it will be simple it will be possible, but you will be punished for every attempt to follow what would be considered my intent.

My purpose in it is to make the player quit listening to me and work it out themselves..

It will be only as extensive as time allows...

dk3dknight: buuuuyyyyy iiiiiiiit!!! or rent it again! Glad to see you're removing the spikes that were IMPOSSIBLE to see in the darkness and fire. Seeing Grim play, you got a glimpse of how the "not advanced" player would handle your advanced level. LOL. Hope it helped in some way.

cymbol: I tried puzzle wheels again after you published it, great changes! The 4th wheel & early exit signs really will come in handy for people that automatically clear magic mouth text...which I was once guilty of myself. Seriously, you have to be Captain Obvious with some people! Oh, were those score bubbles on the hidden staircase before? Either I didn't notice them, or passed right by thinking they were lights!

I will seriously consider purchasing it in the future... The spikes were not part of my original design so no worries removing them im not sure what I was thinking perhaps I was being extra evil...

--

I have finished my sketch for failure.. ive decided at this time to keep it to 7 sections.

1. Introduction.
2. Self Induced Fire Trap.
3. Keep one foot forward.
4. Self Induced switches.
5. Only way is down.
6. The rope that leads no where...
7. Closing Credits.

At every turn I will badger, mislead the player as much as possible..

Thanks for the Great Race tip - I must have been editing something and moved it - and didn't set it back "Just right". Thank you VERY much for letting me know.

Yeah, I think the "reel in" mechanic was a good idea that I came up with. Even though I lowered the floor already - I decided it was still too difficult to get in. (Even though you and I made it.) As I said, you deserve the Puzzle Wheel Master title since you completed the level in two player mode BEFORE it was optimized to be made easier.

No, the staircase was there before, but I hadn't placed bubble points in there. I was going to put a prize in there but just didn't have one to give that fit in with the level. I had considered no making the "Stained Glass" prize be hidden - but wanted to give something to those who wanted the top score and took the time to scout all locations.

I think it's funny how many people have not been able to find the secret room in The Great Race.

Whats funny me, Stephie_is_a_dork, and grim played it together, of course I give credit to Stephie_is_a_dork for finding out the solution I always thought I was doing something wrong...

I made the mistake of never holding the switch down on the elevator and thus thinking the thing had stopped Stephie_is_a_dork of course made sure we made it through with no problems..

Stephie_is_a_dork is probably one of the best players of little big planet and should get a trophy of Best Player ever...

No, I'm sorry - the wife ended up taking over the tv, then other things transpired and it was extremely late. It was my intention to play it right after I got the key - but I just wasn't able to.

Hope you go buy the game soon.

And yeah, Stephie is one of the better/best LBP players on my friend's list. She has helped me on several story levels to get prize bubbles. That's also why I ask her to beta test my levels when possible.

KO its okay, um well I just hope my last map for a potential while is good then..

This is the only stage that I have ever given a real theme, and planed out.. it will be simple though but im going to assume its not going to be liked...

Traveling the good old true and tested path will only lead to failure..

Thanks for your support!

Default Should i do a poll to find out?

1.I am just curious to find out WHO of the people that are experiencing save issues and restarting of the PS3 when exiting, have done some DLC on an Asian site (Like the holiday pack) from HK PSN?

I have because it was free, but I have read, that it might not work and could cause problems?

OR

Is everyone with the MGS pack UNABLE to save progress beyond LVL2. Clear it ace it all the way to LVL5 of MGS pack, save quit, then join again, and nothing beyond LVL2 is there?

Is there anyone that can save the progress on the MGS pack beyond LVL2??
