Man the sucks. As someone above said, deleting some of your comunity objects and stuff will stop this.

I had the same problem, actually I found out after buying the MGS level pack. I finished all the levels and got all the trophies and stuff, then turned off the PS3 and the next time I went on it said I had never played them (although I still had all the trophies).

Anyways, when creating levels, I ALWAYS publish a locked version of my level just in case now, but deleting most of my community objects/photos got rid of the problem completely so I haven't had to go to the published backup version.

Good luck dude!

LBP ISSUES RESOLVED - Sort of. . . .

Ok, everyone - I can save again, but there is still an underlying problem.

Here's the issue/warning.

DLC takes up your profile space. However, you don't get the regular "profile full" error so you're just left in the dark.

A planned update is scheduled to resolve the error of NOT notifying you that your profile is full but this does nothing to resolve the problem of your profile being full in the first place.

The idea that I am now even more severely limited in profile space because I bought DLC is ridiculous.

This is why sooo many people had save issues when buying the MGS pack - because it ate up profile space but didn't give them an error. So, they played it to 100% but it wouldn't save.

I had to delete tons of stuff to get my save capabilities back - but it's back.

At this point, saving/collecting anything is just a step towards not being able to play the game. What I am just totally baffled by is that now we obviously have to be worried about buying DLC - because THIS CAN NOT BE DELETED. I am now permantly limited even more on space.

I can only hope that MM is working this - every PS3 has hard-drive space - at least make it an option for people to allocate to it.

I have had to stop collecting objects/stickers, making stickers, saving/creating costumes, making/saving my own objects, keeping levels on my moon, taking/saving pictures in the game - and now I get punished for buying DLC on space. The game is not working.

I'm not sure how MM can ignore this much longer (look at the LBP website in threads - everyone is asking why this isn't being addressed). Saying they are working on getting the profile error message to work properly does nothing to fix the root cause of the issue.

I will continue to create my levels because I enjoy it - but at this time, I it seems I will also have to continue to feverishly delete any collected item/sticker/picture that I acquire and not purchase anymore DLC until MM addresses these game ending issues.

(Thanks for the responses everybody - in a way, you were all correct, it was space related, but I never would have guessed that buying the DLC was what did it to me.)

Because I bought the MGS pack I'm going to run out of room? That sucks. How big is your hard drive?

I have a 250 gig. But LBP doesn't allocate to your hard-drive - it gives you a specific amount within the game and server. If they let people have an option to use their hard-drive, it would probably alleviate all these issues.

As for running out of room - sooner or later, yes - if you play the game and collect objects and stickers, and especially if you have levels on your moon - you'll run out of space and start having to delete items.

And, it seems that the DLC counts towards your allocated space. The thing is - I didn't know that so I assumed the V-Day pack had a bug (as many others in other forums assumed as well).

I'm a little annoyed at MM. They obviously know about this and had massive issues with people not being able to save their 100% on those levels because their profiles were full (but not giving a message for it).

They need to have a disclaimer on all DLC until they resolve this issue so people like me don't spend their entire weekend troubleshooting and visiting forums trying to figure out what's going on.

Really, MM owes a lot of people an apology for a lot of wasted time trying to work with some of these bugs.

I would assume that you should be able to get 100% in story and be able to fill every red meter on your moon without any problems. If this isn't the case. That sucks.

On that note..On your moon there are circles with in a big circle. Is there a way to make the multiple circles into one giant circle. I'd rather have a huge world instead of a few small ones.

does anyone know the exact amount of space allocated? mine hasn't been saving since the v-day pack either, so I deleted lots of stuff and now my saved data utility is down to 4743 kb and seems to be saving. I'd just like to know the limit so I can check it myself until MM fixes the "profile full" not displaying bug.

luckily all my unfinished levels are published as locked, so I didn't lose those. I only lost photo stickers and every time I start LBP, I'm wearing a costume other than the one I last signed out with, and old deleted files re-appear.

I can't remember if it was here or the LBP workshop, but someone said unless you delete ENOUGH, the deleted stuff will re-appear and new stuff won't save. it seems like they are right though. the limit must be at least over 4743 kb, because my file saved today. Is it 5000 kb or something higher?

Tell me where to check this and I will tell you where I am at...I have about 2 levels made and 2 half way done. In the story I'm about 95%.

Yeah, I talked about all those things recently with my issues. I deleted many files - but kept logging in to find it all back. It wasn't until I deleted almost everything that I was able to save again.

I also mentioned before - the allocated space was last reported to be 5 megs. (Guess my 250 gig hard-drive will sit there unused by LBP.)

That SUCKS that we can't save to our hard drives (external or not).

No - all those craters on your moon mean nothing. I have only 3 levels on my moon now and I'm almost full (that's from a couple of objects, pictures, stickers and 3 levels). I've deleted almost everything I've made or pictures I took - and published my unfinished levels locked (since I have a few that are just in the beginning stages.)

I'm not sure what all those spaces on the moon are for because your file size limit would NEVER let you fill all of them. I guess it just looks prettier.

As for combining small craters into one big one - no, not that I know of.

Also, it doesn't appear to make a difference if you use a small crater for your level or a big one - the size of the level/themometer space seems to stay the same. I copied a level over from a small crater to a big one - and everything stayed the same.

Profile size limits are probably the most complained about issue with LBP (since it basically halts the game for you - especially in create mode).

I am seriously worried everytime I'm in create mode now. I keep wondering if everything I'm doing will be saved now. I keep exiting, restarting my PS3 and checking to see if I'm good. No game should have these kind of headaches involved. As much as I enjoy this game - I currently could not recommend it to anyone until they resolve these issues.

I wonder how frustrated people are getting who don't visit forums and have no idea what is going on with their game.

MM should be more vocal about this - and post something on their message board in the game.

The only thing you can save to your hard--drive is your pictures you've taken (which is cool and helpful if you want to post them in a forum, etc). But once you delete them from your popit in LBP - you can't get them back.

This sucks. I thought I had a lot more worlds that I could create cause of off the circles. I guess not. That sucks.

There better be an update to where we can save these on our hard drives. Thats a no brainer....

Another question about space used...Does it matter how big, complicated with moving parts, and 1000's of small pieces I use as long as it fits in the red guage?

I'm not even half way done and I notice sometimes pieces will dissapear on me.

That's likely a whole other issue. Sometimes, when you glue two objects together that have lots of objects glued to them as well, some of the objects can become unglued. It was REALLY annoying when the game came out. Not sure if it's been fixed, I haven't heard anything, but again there's a way around it.
Instead of glueing all the sections of your level together, use Dark matter to hold the sections in place. That way your level can remain unglued except for all the small parts, and you won't run into issues.

It worked well for me, I just put dark matter nails everywhere and then none of my objects would unglue/disappear anymore.

I think he just called them nails as a figurative term, but he was simply putting little dots of dark matter all over, to hold up various parts of the level.

I'd call it fun-tak, because it always seemed like a squishy material to me.

Or maybe liquid nails.
