There isn't a Ghostbusters demo in the works either. Obviously unrelated, no?

Ok, went back to mid-May and the only thing I see here mentioning the possibility of level packs are:
1 - A tweet from some MM employee re: Ratchet and Clank and lbp levels coming
2 - A comment from Max

I know we're all suspecting that there are level packs coming, but I just did some digging in the thread and didn't see anything real firm - no interviews where someone was clearly quoted or officially announced.

I kinda find the tweet a little suspect at the moment since on 5/19 it said the R&C content was done and hopefully coming soon. Two months later doesn't exacly fit my definition of "soon" if it was totally complete.

Not saying the guy lied, but at this point I think it's fair to be a bit skeptical about any talk of new levels that isn't an official statement from MM or Sony.

Media Molecule's David Smith has revealed that much demanded new levels for LittleBigPlanet are a 'high priority'

Speaking exclusively to Play Magazine, Smith went on to discuss such issues as motion control, the potential for a sequel and the development of LBP PSP, as well as stressing that fan demand for new levels meant MM was taking them very seriously. “The community is often requesting new levels from Mm, so this is high on our list of priorities,” Smith revealed. “But we have to balance this against the value of us doing other things such as creating new creative tools or improving the community aspects of the game.”

Seeing the kinds of levels being made is also proving to be a source of great motivation for MM. “Seeing all the inventive and beautiful levels made by our community certainly inspires us,” he continued. “We are inspired to make the creation process easier for them and to make better levels that outdo the best of the community. I’m glad to say that this challenge is getting harder as the quality of the community levels improve on a daily basis.”

You can read much more about Media Molecule’s upcoming plans for LittleBigPlanet in the forthcoming issue of Play Magazine. Media Molecule will also be attending next week’s Develop Conference in Brighton - keep an eye on NowGamer for all the breaking news from the event.

Shin - how the heck did you do that?

If I pester you for better info on something else can you make that appear too? (Seriously, was that what you were refering to before or did that just happen to be an amazing example of syncronicity?)

Story from earlier in the week. Someone posted it in some thread, maybe it wasn't this one in which case, my bad.

Probably too much to ask for some DCUO love. Though maybe we'll have someone at comicon that can get some info.

Hmmm - wouldn't it be cool if we got Superman and Batman costumes for LBP around when DCUO launches? SOE's got the MMO liscense - can't imagine it would be too hard to get DC to liscense some characters for LBP around launch to drum up awareness......

No worries - I'm just glad to see some hard info - though I give them credit for being frank. It's a priority, but it's not the highest priority - and that makes sense, because as they develop the tools better the community can probably make some great options too.

Though it would be nice to see some really great liscened material - like when the Disney stuff comes out it would be great to see levels that are themed off movies or rides. (Heck, they could probably just do a whole level expansion pack for the 3 PotC movies!)

Are you troubled by strange noises in the middle of the night?

Do you experience feelings of dread in your basement or attic?

Have you or your family ever seen a spook, spectre or ghost?

If the answer is “yes,” then don’t wait another minute. Pick up the phone and call the professionals…Ghostbusters.

“We’re ready to believe you.”

Fans of this 80’s classic rejoice! Finally, fresh from their video game release and after a week or so of tease images, GHOSTBUSTERS finally hits LittleBigPlanet this Thursday as individual costumes ($1.99) and as a full costume pack ($5.99) that includes all 4 costumes and bonus stickers!

We are looking forward to more great tribute levels like these-
