The user reviews over at Metacritic look like they're getting sabotaged. Not unexpected, I suppose, for such a hugely hyped console-exclusive, which certainly enrages fanboys.

Edit: In the few seconds it took to type this up, the score has dropped some more.

Eh. Let them have their "victory".

I'm sure they think they are sticking it to big bad Sony.

Sony has a whole line of plans that involve Sackboy toys and accessories that will appeal to younger gamers, but it will market them only after — and if — the new title is embraced by hard-core gamers.

I never pre-order games, but I gave in for this one, because a) I figured I might as well, to get the Kratos costume (and the other ones, which I don't care about), and b) in the event that it flies off shelves, I wanted to make sure I got it right away, so I could get that spacesuit costume that Mm is giving away during the first week.

Next week will be fun, with Rock Band 2 coming out Sunday, and LBP following a couple days later.

So great.

Will there be regional differences? I'm contemplating either getting this in Europe or getting the Japanese version. Any exclusive goodies (in-game) for either version?

LittleBigPlanet hits London!

From the 10th of October 2008 to the 15th November, PlayStation® will be hosting a series of free creative workshops to celebrate the pre-launch of LittleBigPlanet in London!!! The space will be located in the bustling Covent Garden (see address below), and have a wide range of fun family-friendly activities for you to be involved in.

The pop-up space will be split into three areas inspired by the game for the ultimate LittleBigPlanet experience. The Play and Create sampling areas will give visitors the chance to be one of the first in the country to create levels in the game. Whilst in the LittleBigPlanet Creative Cupboard, the arts and crafts workshops will help to bring your game creations to life.
  • Creative Arts & Crafts workshops – create real world versions of in-game elements using craft materials including customised SackBoys, badges and designs to be judged in in-store competitions.
  • Sunday Sessions – Sunday chill out space on the 12th and 26th October and the 9th November, featuring live entertainment, music and arts and crafts
  • Family Day – Sunday family themed activities featuring entertainment, games and arts and crafts on the 19th October and the 9th of November
  • Super User Tutorials – book in some time with one of our LittleBigPlanet experts for an exclusive one-on-one demonstration and the chance to be one of the first in the UK to play the game
You can book times at the LittleBigPlanet workshop simply by popping into the store.

Dates: 10th October – 15th November.
Open Time: 11:30 – 19:00 Tuesday – Saturdays and 12:00 – 18:00 Sundays.
Workshops will be held Wednesday evenings, but please check in store to book.
Sundays will have chillout sessions/family days.
Address: UNIT 1 & 23 THOMAS NEAL'S CENTRE, COVENT GARDEN, LONDON WC2

I know this sounds pretty silly, but the main reason for me pre-ordering this game is for the Kratos costume, lol.

The average user score is 6.2!! If that isn't a sabotaged score I don't know what is. It's very sad that people would give it a low mark just because it's only on PS3! Pathetic even.

The score doesn't even matter when it has ~850 votes before the game has even been released, it's still clear it's being tampered with.

I looked all over metacritic and I don't see any way to ask metacritic to look into it either.
