I went in and pre-ordered over the weekend, and they had a large stack of codes. They are printed on a single piece of glossy paper, and wrapped in a plastic bag, I guess to prevent tampering.

I imagine if you pre-ordered a while ago, they didn't have the codes in yet, and should be saving you one for when you come pick up the game...but you never know. I'd give them a call and make sure they don't expect you to come get one now, before they are gone.

He was on the beta most likely. I had the beta too but I'm pretty sure it ended on the 13th.

Does anyone have a list of who offers what in Canada? as far as special codes stickers etc?
Still trying to figure out who/where to buy it from. But want this on release day for the kids, not waiting 3-4 days or more for delivery.

I probably could read the thread but it is 2500 posts long, where to start

No, he was definitely playing the full game. The beta would say "Little Big Planet Beta" when they were playing it. He's the same guy that posted about it on the Rock Band forums, and included pictures. He went to BestBuy looking for an accidental early release of RB2, but instead found LBP.

I downloaded this Sunday night and the next day it wouldn't work any longer, said it had expired. DOH! At least I got to try a couple levels, I'll be picking this up once released. And yes, a long-arse thread, this is!

These numbers were posted by viewsonic over at hidefdigest.com - I just thought I would share over here.

Pretty amazing that fanboys went through so much trouble and are so desperate to disparage Little Big Planet. Just wow! They've attacked the user ratings a week before it has even come out.

I actually think the user ratings for those 360 games are about right and pretty much reflect what the average gamer thinks of them. Halo is adored by a lot of people but most gamers from my experience just think its a pretty average title.

Its pretty clear what is going on with LBP and that its an unprecedented display of pettiness.

OMG

You dont' even know (or, maybe you DO!).

I have visions of possible levels bouncing through my head in my dreams...

It's insanity.

The game is going to be crack.

I'm a little afraid of what it may do to me, but I'm also ready to endure that if I must!

I'm having problems loading the Metacritic page. Don't think it's my connection, as other sites are working fine. Wonder if they're doing something about the scores, or if everybody is trying to access the page to witness the sadness (or maybe to vote it down some more).

Edit: Nevermind, it's back, but still acting very slow.

I can relate - I'm not a huge creative person, but LBP keeps screaming out to me "Habitrail Level", I can't wait to play with it more - I didn't even get through the creation tutorials before beta ended.

My wife in a graphic designer - i'm hoping that I can get her to give it a chance - the level designer would be right up her alley.

I'm completely new to LBP, but is this a kid game or what? I'm seriously not trying to be funny, but what is the purpose of this game?
