Generally speaking, I don't buy ANY game without a demo first. Very few get bought without one, because I'm really not interested in a $60 experiment.

But at the same time, keyboard or no keyboard aside, if it takes me 12 hours to make a level because it takes me that long to make a level and it's 'work'; then reducing the score for that is dumb. Like you said, the payoff for making a level is worth the effort and the ability to create your own levels at all is a definite plus.

I absolutely agree on this. Though so far they haven't proven that the use of the keyboard makes the 'building' of the level that much quicker and inhibits non-keyboard users. I haven't built a level yet, but I have made several customizations and so on and I believe the Keyboard is only useful for writing dialouge and such. So it must be nit picking on the reviewer's end.

Also its like saying Burnout Paradise should have a lower score if you don't have a PSEYE. Eventhough all its really used for is to take your photo on your driver's license.

Didn't see anyone else respond, so I figured I would.

There is nothing stopping you from making your level H_C. It's how you share it that gets into the profanity/offensive issue.

Unless something changed that I missed, you can create a level and share it with friends seperate from putting it out there for everyone.

So you'll probably become very popular H_C if you're still going to do those levels, because anyone here who is interested in seeing it will probably want to add you to their friends list to get it.

Shin-ra, would it be possible to get a blu-ray.com stickied level development/friend-only sharing thread started once the game releases? I have a feeling that it would be a good idea to have one place seperate from the general PSN list where where anyone who wants to create and share a level just with this community can do so (i.e. mature levels).

I didn't know that was possible! Thats great as I thought that basically all content would have to be extremely kid-friendly and this would definately allow our creative juices flow without getting banned. I'm all for this idea!

Ditto on this!!! I make sure my 60$ investment decision is based on an EXCELLENT REPLAY value for these games before I get them. When I first saw these trailers, I was like, What the hell??? That game looks dumb! WHO would play that??? Then I was invited to play on the beta, and my whole family is HOOKED! I would probably pay more than 60 for this game, seeing the possiblity exists.... that this game may never truely "END" or get "OLD" on you. Especially if your the Create Kind, or Explore New Worlds kind of gamer!

I'm now on the 6th World and the game is hovering around the 97/100 mark for me. The game is just so clever! I can't wait to start playing with (and competing against) people online - I did have an extended co-op session with a friend and that was a lot of fun.

...And for the record, I was actually not that hyped for LBP. I was planning on getting Fallout 3 and Far Cry 2 and coming back to LBP somewhere in between Resistance 2 and Valkyrie Chronicles.

as im at work, i cant really surf and learn more about the concept of the game. its a creative platformer, but im not familiar with the details on this genre so to speak.

excuse my ignorance, but im just curious as to how this game works.

1. are there preset game levels you're supposed to go thru?
2. do you build items to get thru a level?
3. if i do plan to purchase this, i think im going to go thru gamestop to get it considering it 'comes' with the kratos character.

looks like an amazing game, but like pjmonsters, its something i guess i have to experience before i get to understand it more...

Can you? I'm not sure I ever tried, but I thought the only interaction with levels is pasting stickers on them, to activate switches. I did't think you could actually build new things into the board while playing.

The GameStop thing, just to get technical, is a Kratos costume, and you also get Medusa and Minotaur costumes. The costumes come in parts, so if you want, you can just use the Kratos mask, to change how your head looks, but wear different clothes.

Also, going back to the talk before about keyboards...what do the keyboards actually do when creating a level? Are there shortcuts for opening menus? If you have to use the analog sticks on the controller anyway, to move items around, or select items, how does switching back and forth to a keyboard help? I guess if you have a lot of text bubbles pop up throughout your level, it might be boring trying to type them all out using the controller.

Question to those who know about this recall......I just got my copy sent to me from my distributor but now I got a message that says to send it back.

Honestly I haven't even opened the game to play it but will it make any difference getting the updated version? Meaning will these older ones with the 2 lines of lyrics become unplayable online or something if we don't return them? I'm not paying freight to return anything that no one is probably going to even understand (speaking of the arabic song everyone is up in arms over).

It probably won't make a difference as you'll be more than likely receiving a patch to take out that content anyway. I suggest just keeping it as its sort of a rarity.

If you've received LBP I would suggest keeping it. The last update I read said the corrected version would ship to retailers on Oct. 27th in the US, and Nov. 7th to other territories. National Console announced they are shipping out their pre-ordered games today. If you order with them by 4 pm EST today, they'll ship it out today.

Don't worry, all you have to do is wait another week. For us Europeans though, its the 3rd of November, while the UK and us Irish, annoyingly have to wait two days longer.

2. No, you don't build items to get through levels. You can use special stickers called trigger items (or something like that) at certain points to gain access to hidden items/stickers/decorations/costumes. Despite the fact that you don't "build" items to get through levels the game is ridiculously fun. Plus, I actually think it would be a detriment to the flow of the game if you had to stop everyone once in a while to do that.

Yeah, I'm keeping mine! Plus, I would not mind buying the game over again (I'll still have my save file)!

One thing that has confused me, the Snake and Sephiroth characters...
are they included in all copies of the game? Are they limited in time to get them like the space suit? Are they part of a pre-order?

Also, what is the word on the space suite now that it has been delayed a week?

Space suit had better still be available based on the NEW release date! That is the whole reason I preordered.
