excuse my ignorance, but im just curious as to how this game works.

1. are there preset game levels you're supposed to go thru?
2. do you build items to get thru a level?
3. if i do plan to purchase this, i think im going to go thru gamestop to get it considering it 'comes' with the kratos character.

looks like an amazing game, but like pjmonsters, its something i guess i have to experience before i get to understand it more...
i played the beta so...

1. yes they have a story mode that you unlock items and it gives you a feel of how the game play works.

2. if you are "playing" a level, whether it is one of the story mode levels or one someone made, you don't have the option to add new components to the level but you are able to move things around, turn on switches, and you can add decorations.

then there is the Create portion of the game where you can create your own level. Mm provides some templates that you can edit or you can start with a blank level. you create a level with the tools they provide for you. thay have tutorials for all the tools so you can learn how to use them. then you can publish them to the web and other people can play them.

you can play the game without having to create a level if you do not want to. as long as you can go online, you can play levels that other people make, so you are not stuck with just the story mode levels.

3. yes you can kratos and now they have two other costumes and a level pack, plus getting the game and playing the first week you get a special t-shirt for your sackboy in the game and a spacesuit.

are they included in all copies of the game? Are they limited in time to get them like the space suit? Are they part of a pre-order?

Also, what is the word on the space suite now that it has been delayed a week?
Well, I don't have access to either of them yet (however, they could still be in the game - maybe as "Aced" level unlockables?)

I'm pretty sure both Snake and Sephiroth are DLC costumes that will be sold later.

One thing I was disappointed with, in the beta, is that you couldn't add sackboys into your created levels. It'd be nice if you could have some NPC sackboys, instead of having to make statue type things as characters, to talk to people as they walked by.

Here's a question, that may have already been answered:

Will we have the option to share a level with specific users? Like just people on your buddy list or something? I plan on making a level for my niece and nephew, plastered with pictures of them, myself, family, dogs, etc. I dont think a level like that would make sense to the larger community. Would I have the option to shar eit JUST with my niece and nephew?

I know you can share levels with friends, instead of publishing them for the world to see, but I'm not sure if you can limit it to specific people, or just your entire friends list.

I don't know for certain, but I'm pretty confidant that it's not your entire friends list automatically - otherwise you could potentially push inappropriate material to a minor unintentionally.

The whole idea of having levels you can share specifically is to give you the freedom to create anything (even mature stuff), but that inappropriate content that is pushed out would get reported.

It would defeat the purpose of that if you couldn't control who on your friends list gets something.

This is probably an old ? but...Does anyone know for sure if LBP will be available for download? It would be nice to use it upstairs and downstairs whenever you want. Rather then having the boys fighting over it.(They don't always want to play together)

is this all Blockbusters? Sees odd that they will still be releasing it when it has been pushed back by the developer.

Honestly I haven't even opened the game to play it but will it make any difference getting the updated version? Meaning will these older ones with the 2 lines of lyrics become unplayable online or something if we don't return them? I'm not paying freight to return anything that no one is probably going to even understand (speaking of the arabic song everyone is up in arms over).
ebay that bad boy!....I seen a few of em on there going for like $100+

True, and it doesn't seem like you can have NPC sackboys in the real game either.

On another note, I'm excited about the DLC they could release for this game. They could literally keep it fresh until the end of the PS3 cycle!

the tuturiol is part of the game. i don't think they are going to sell a tutorial free version on the PSN. Even if the rest of the game is compact and they sold a stricly compact version, whats compact? in the scope of 40GB, 15GB might be compact.

15GB is still too big to be downloading.

MSNBC was a bit late picking up on this (and just took the story from Reuters, no less) but here it is anyway:
