I was wondering the same thing. My assumption is stores can sell them as soon as they get the new copies in, because all I keep reading is that they will be shipped out "the week of" October 27th, but no release date is specified.

My Walmart was selling copies tonight at midnight. I called them earlier today and they said they would. I was still skeptical all day though, anxiously waiting till midnight. When I walked in the store they had big displays at the entrance saying you could buy LBP on Tuesday. Walked to the back by the electronics. There were a few people in line, but they were all there for Fabel II. Guy came out at midnight with a box. The top box said Bioshock, the bottom one I saw had all the Fable II games. The middle box he opened last, and as soon as he opened it I saw the game. Bought two!!

Good to know. I might give it a shot tomorrow, and see if any stores put them out. Worst case scenario, I'll have to wait another week, which is fine.

True, especially with Farcry 2, Motorstorm 2 and (for people without the PC or 360 version) Bioshock out this Tuesday!

What happened to the demo on PSN? Was looking for it the other day but it's not on there.

I'm not completely sold on LBP because it just looks kinda complicated to actually make something.

I could be overthinking it though.

Just so everyone knows I went to Wal-Mart after calling and them having copies on the shelf. Turns out there is a "do-not-sell" in the system that "can't be bypassed", so don't waste your time.

Picked one up at blockbuster in Orlando, apparently they sent out a memo late last night that a lot of people have not seen yet. If you want one it may be a good place to call around and ask. Happy hunting!!!

Tried 3 Blockbusters in this area, and all of them must've gotten the memo.

"It will be out around Halloween now. What happened was there was a song in the game that Muslims didn't like, so Sony is remaking the game."

I tried to get my BB pre-order, but they new about the recall.

I was hoping to get some customer service rep that hadn't been informed. Didn't happen.

They told me it would definitely be out this Friday.

My local Gamestop is telling me it will be out on the 29th, even though the voice recording told me the 27th what gives?

I'm hearing all sorts of dates.

The GameStop message said the 27th.

Toys 'R Us said the 29th.

Blockbuster said the 31st.

Target said November 4th.

Just picked up a copy of the game in Bountiful, UT. I called around to 5 different Blockbusters within 40 min until I found one that didn't know about the recall and was willing to sell the game to me.

....They only had one copy though...otherwise I would've bought an extra.
