I'd be interested to see if someone could dig up the exact quote, but it seemed to pretty clearly infer to me that anyone who was there week 1 would get a week 1 t-shirt, not that anyone there week 1 would get the chance to buy a week 1 t-shirt.

So, for the first week and the space suit, does the date start from 10-21, or 10-28? I checked on psn and didnt see anything for a space suit.

ah. i am just being an angry fan boy. oh well, i guess i'm going to end up giving in and purchasing because i'm one of those people who want to own everything and anything that comes out with the Playstation Logo. i'm still a little upset with the fact that the launch shirt is a purchase and not a give away to loyal fans BUT, i digress... at least they're supporting the game post launch.

no i mean you're right it should be free. And hopefully they are cheaper in the future. But there's no way we're getting shafted. I've seriously been happier ever since I bought LBP. I don't know how the hell they jam packed so much fun into one game.

i'm having a blast with LBP theres no doubt about that, but the thing that got to me is that something thats available at "launch" has to be paid for. its like a treat for those of us who made the purchase yet we have to pay. i dont see the logic in that (i dont mind paying for stuff down the road) whatever. 3 bux? thats not much anymore anyway. i'll give in i suppose.

From what I've looked up, all I tend to find is that the spacesuit is free, and that the t-shirt would be available, but was never stated as being free.

Even if it were, Mm can't control how websites reported it (whether they implied it was free or not), though maybe they could have issued a statement to clarify things.

The t-shirt is pretty generic though, and don't see why anyone would even care to have it. That makes it even weirder that they expect to charge for it, and weirder yet that they are charging the equivalent of $8 for it in EU.

Don't want to pay for it, what's the issue? You're not losing out on anything game changing, think of it more as a way to reward Mm and SCEE for supporting this game. There's sure to be a lot more coming, free and paid-for.

because even on the blog when they first posted it they easily made it seem it was something you received just for buying it during the first week.

Havent been able to get online tonight!!! Is there a problem people are aware of?? Same for a couple of my mates.. PSN works fine, just cant get onto the LBP server in the game!

Please note the LittleBigPlanet online servers will be down for essential maintenance on Thursday November 6th between 12am and 9am PST. During this period the offline game will be unaffected as we work to improve online performance. So keep playing or creating and we'll have some shiny new servers ready for when we get back.
