It's like having brussels sprouts for dinner 100 nights in a row, and then coming home from work and finding out you're having brussels sprouts again.
My main gripe with the trophy levels is that once you have the trophies, most of them are completely pointless to play (particularly the ones where you do nothing, and it automatically gets you the trophies). That and the fact that there are a few thousand of them, clogging up all the pages. I'll check yours out later though. Last edited by toef; 11-18-2008 at 04:22 PM. |

Yes, that's how it works.
I know in the beta, it was a bit trickier, and it seemed to reset the plays and hearts each time I edited my level and republished it. Because of that, I originally thought that if you add anything that changes the scoring of your level (like more point bubbles) that it would erase the high scores/plays/hearts, to be fair. So soon after the retail game was released, I decided to go back and add some more points to my Connect Four level (and change the name), and just risk losing the 5-10 plays that it had at that point (since the game had just been released). Since then, I've republished both of my levels (Presidential Race and Connect Four) numerous times (probably 20 times) and everything is still intact. One thing I do wonder though, and won't bother trying, is if you overwrite a different level, what happens. Say, for example, I have these two boards: Presidential Race - 10 plays Connect Four - 4 plays If I overwrite Presidential Race with a 2nd copy of Connect Four, will that new Connect Four have 4 plays, or will it be at 0? There's really no reason to do this, but sometimes I fear accidentally overwriting the wrong level, and wonder what that would cause to happen. |

By the way, (at no one in particular) - I think people need to start being a little more creative with creating vehicles etc.
I keep finding levels where I use the same vehicles over and over again. Probably the biggest one used is the Monster Truck. Even though we won all those contraptions playing through story mode, I'm hesitant to use any of them. It's no fun using other people's creations in your own level. I try to use them as little as possible. Problem is, unlike the guys who created this game - this isn't my job. I wish I had more time to create and test things out. Right now, I'm trying to create a few characters but it is coming along horribly. The editing tools for creating people are quite poor. I really need a "drawing tool". Using stickers for color etc. is very frustrating. I'm having fun creating; however, as much as the game provides, I'm finding I need more tools for some minor, yet significant touches. |

Two examples of the many I've seen: A racing level where you use the dog+sled on some glass ("ice"). That was done in one of Mm's levels (though, ok, it wasn't a "race"). Another is the spinning/sliding wheels, where you have to hang on one, and jump to another. That's fine as a regular part of a level, but when it's the ENTIRE level, I wonder why someone bothered to make it. There are 3 mini-levels in the story mode that are entirely just the spinning wheels, and they get progressively harder. |
