It really really sucks that we have to choose between in game sackboy/girls...

Seriously.

This is trash marketing and a gimmick to con desperate fans into buying two copies. It sucks.

Usually when it's something like this the codes are in-game so it ends up on the internets and everyone can eventually get it. Which is fair, actually, as pre-orders can enjoy for the first week and be happy.

OR, they should just give all pre-orders the same bonus. This differentiation between retailers seriously blows and retailers like CC and Amazon are getting MAJORLY shafted on this one. That can't help with brand identity in those stores.

It bothers me greatly as both myself and my GF will be playing and she is all about Nariko but I'm vibing the more manly Kratos. Sad sad promotion. All it is doing is making me, the consumer, resent the LBP people and Sony for doing it.

pre-order both, its only 5 bucks, buy one copy. transfer the other pre-order to another game you want. problem solved

I thought I was reading somewhere that you could share the codes with up to 4 people. If that's true, I imagine it should be easy enough to get both Nariko and Kratos.

Do we even know if it's possible to do the old pre-order switcharoo trick yet? Or, are they actually reserving the codes until the game is out and you take delivery?

The EB I went to wasn't giving out the codes until release day. Though I've seen pictures of the release code coupon thing, so *shrugs*

I already have my Kratos code. Gamestop gave it to me when I preordered

So, is the code unique or is it one of those generic pieces of paper that basically says, 'here's your code: GAMESTOP (or whatever but it's the same on all the cards)'?

Its unique. Its a 12 digit alpha-numerical code much like the Metal Gear Online Beta code that you redeem on the PSN

I hate having to pick too, and am debating the switcheroo thing. If anybody gets that to work okay, please say so. I really want both Kratos and Nariko.

I'm still pissed I didn't realize the Soul Calibur LE came with extra character creation parts then the regular, and we don't get them as downloadable content like other countries! If I'd realized that, I would've bought the dang LE. I'm really beginning to hate all this exlusives stuff. What happened to the good old days of one version, one game, one pre-order item? Ugh.

no one will know if the "switch-er-roo" thing will work till AFTER the release date and its too late to get the pre-order goodies (maybe). I think the differences make it cooler, some people will have Kratos (me

) some will have a strategy guide, etc etc. it makes my pre-order thing different, even though many people will still have Kratos.

its not that big of a deal that I won't have Nariko. but if you are one of those "i must have everything that anyone else has!" type of person, you'll just have to bit the bullet on this one, and hope that eventually LBP will release Nariko as a DLC extra (they only said no to the near future).

i still don't really understand how people can complain. same thing with the SC4 thing with Vader or Yoda (and they are going to make both available). all you have to do is make a decision, and cognitive dissonance will help ya after that

I can't really complain about having to choose because most games don't even have pre-order bonuses.
