I'm pretty sure it's been made illegal by many states - and is going through the system to make it illegal on a federal level.
its been made illegal by like 4 states and yes, it will be banned soon..

Yeah, part of the reason Jungle ummm.... Race! yeah, Jungle Race! is appealing is because I can do it with the existing tools available. The alligators are a big one and they already exist - it won't be too hard to do bouncing boulders either.

Fourtunately I basically remember 3-4 basic images from it (running up hill dodging boulders, the gators, the swinging vines) so it will basically have the Jungle Hunt feel, but not be a replica - since I'm not wasting my time finding the original game for reference.

Well I'm gonna do it anyways... Its not in Canada....
Did anyone end up making any "adult" levels? It was mentioned on here before that you can make a level and not publish it and your friends could play it...

Here's what I'm thinking - we could create a list of items we'd all like to make in game, and then have individual members volunteer to build the item and distribute it. If we really wanted to get ambitious, we could have pass out keys to Test Lab levels so that anyone in the group could go to someone else's test lab and grab the items as prize bubbles.

It would be a way for someo people to flex their creative muscle and play in LBP without feeling like they have to create a whole polished level.

Personally at some point I'd like to try a Noah's arc level, so to me, farming out animal creation would make my life easier - and sometimes while I don't have enough time to play with a level, I'd probably be able to spend some time developing an item or something.
This sounds great to me.

I'm in - I like the idea of the Test Lab. It's easier than sending people items - especially since not everyone will want every creation. I'm also assuming these would be exclusive items only to use on our levels - and not to be given away as prizes?

I have a "snow machine" that I was going to put as a prize in my holiday level - but I could make it exclusive to you all - after I publish my level that is. It's not that great, but gives the essence of snow, and provides a simple way to create snow across a large board.

Anybody else what to join in?

You can count me in. Though I'll be gone until after Thanksgiving due to traveling for family. After that though, I'll definately put in my 2 cents.

How would we build a "Test Lab" that is exclusive - not open to the public?

Republish your levels, after republishing mine this morning, after 5 mins I had 4 people on one level, 1 on another and 2 on the other, before it was a ghost land.
I noticed this too. Yesterday, after republishing all 3 of my levels, within a minute or so, they had a combined 30-35 people playing them, and I felt proud. I decided to pick one to play online, hoping I'd jump in on someone's game of Connect Four, but it ended up throwing me into a room by myself.

What about making the level locked? It might require everyone that wants to do the lab thing to be PSN friends with everyone else.

If you make the level - and make it locked - how do you give me the key?

Not sure there is a way. . . not without putting the key in a public level - which defeats the purpose.

Well I meant that you could do it that way instead of using the key method. I don't know exactly how the private setting works, but I know I accidentally changed my levels to private a few times, by accident.

You make a level, and just hide it, in a place no one will ever go.. like in mine, i could create a balloon at the edge of the map and put the key in the up right part top of the level...

Let me play around with it, but my thought would be to do one of a few things:

1 - share the key level peer to peer and then put the test lab out on the servers (does require friend requests, but that might be a good thing)

2a - Put the key level out for a short period of time and then pull it down

2b - Hide the key in the level so anyone just joining the level wouldn't automatically get it - in fact make the level so bland that no one would even think to look

Personally I think I lean towards #1 - that way even if the person didn't want to keep me on their friends list permently, I could be sure they are a blu-ray.com forum member. Then once everyone has the key that should, it's just a matter of keeping the test lab updated.

I agree that in general the best idea would be to make the items available in the labs, but not available to give away as prizes. If someone really wanted to give away someone else's creation, that could be a seperate discussion between them.

If we have a few people (which it looks like we do), I'll make a seperate thread that the first post lists all the people participating and a list of items people are asking for (and who build it once it's done). I'll make sure to keep that updated so that it's useful.
