They really need save points, imo. In the story mode, I finally got past the several spinning wheels on the level where you catapult over the wall but died on an easier part later on. I was so relieved to be past the earlier section that I rushed on the slower turning wheels with fire at the top later on. Trying to rush through it, I lost most of my lives but on the last one, I took my time and almost made it but I was jumping so quickly trying to avoid the fire that I hit the top level but jumped and ended up falling back down the crevice to the lower turning wheels. Of course, I died getting back up which meant having to start the whole level again. I was so upset I couldn't play the game the rest of the evening and currently have no desire to tackle that level again. A simple save point would alleviate all of that.

Yeah, the deer was my own design (guess is shows. )
Everything in Winter Wonderland was mine. All the mechanisms (spinning electrical lights), characters, etc. I really try and stay away from using the items provided from the story mode. It won't be any fun if everyone has the same characters and machines - so, as much as it is a pain and time constraint, I'd rather create my own bad guys for people to jump on than just copy and paste in the one's that everyone uses.

Sorry about that but it might have just been a mistake on my part when typing the post. I'll have to play it again to know for sure though. Anyway, I'd much rather see original stuff in user levels so either way, good job on the effort.

Wait til you try to Ace that level. I was ready to throw my TV through a wall. The spinning wheels are hard, but you will figure out the timing of when to let go. you can then jump in place and wait for the next one.

Also, for the person was thinking of making levels based on famous rides/attractions, just remember to title your level differently so it is not so obviously "sticking out" and so it wont get so easily modded.

Oooooh, haha, maybe that's it.

In that case, no - that bear (looks like a gigantic bear statue) is in the level - I just ended my level there because I liked the aesthetic flare it provided.

I use the Winter ("Wilderness) them again as a backdrop - but it is cast in darkness so you don't see the bear this time.

So, to clarify - I use as little as possible from the objects provided - especially characters and contraptions won in storymode. I see a lot of levels where people basically pasted all the objects they won in storymode and I tend to find those a little boring; since I've already played on those items.

My mechanisms won't be as good as the story mode's items (afterall, it isn't my job to make this game and I don't get paid for it like those guys) - but I try to at least give people something new. Whether it's any good or not is different story. But hey, I try.

That's my 2 cents on created vs. provided objects in user created levels.

Im also working on a level called The Abusement Park. Im working on making spoof rides based off of real rides/attacktions. I have 2 parts done, and am working on a few others. If you guys have any ideas on rides/games let me know, i need a few more things in the level.

The Abusement Park - is a level on PAIN (a PSN game). You might have to reconsider the name unfortunately, or it may get removed.

You're racing level sounds like fun - the "rollover proof" car sounds great.

Has anyone beat the Ninja Training level on Page 4? Probably the hardest created level in the game. I got pretty far into the level...going to give it a new go tonight.

Freaking PAIN stealing my titles. Easily fixed. ill just change The to An. Problem solved.

The car is a blast. its a bit hard to learn how to control, but once you do, its fun as hell. If anyone out there knows how to hookup 2 switches to one motor let me know. 1 grab switch for reverse and one for forward would be a lot easier than a 3 way swtich. It stinks that hitting the switch with your body even while not grabbing it will activate it

I just got my create trophy the other day. (That's the one where over 30 people heart you as a creator, right?)

I don't pay attention to trophies so I don't know which ones I've earned.

I've spent a couple of days making this level and would love more people to play it as it stands only 9 have played it and it's pretty frustrating to have a level i believe is deffinitly worth a play through being lost because of all the trophy levels etc.

Finally published my first level. Took some time but it's done. The first part with the spinning wheels i'd say is the trickiest but if you have played the single player of LBP you should be good. It's all about releasing at the correct time and moving once you are in the air.

Let me know what you guys think. The level is called LittleBigRandom . Enjoy and don't forget to heart me and my level if you enjoyed it or just to reward me for my hard work . Feedback is welcome as well

I'll put it on my "to do" list. (I'm wondering if I've already played it actually, sound familiar. . .)

My first level "The Garden at Midnight" was just me figuring out how to use the tools - I feel my "Winter Wonderland" level is a bit more polished (although only half of what I wanted is in there due to themometer restrictions - I'm currently working on Part II).

I played for a bit before going to work, looks ok, couldnt get past the spinning thing, glitched out to the right and found a car, looks like I need a key or something, will try later tonight, also why no background?
