Oh, and the day 1 t-shirt isn't very good and is waayyyyy over priced so I wouldn't worry about it. Save your pennies and put them towards something more useful (I'm sure you could buy a whole PSN game for the cost of that t-shirt).

isn't the whole point of a "i was there day 1 t-shirt" that it is released on day 1? i know they had the week delay for release, but even if i wanted this thing (which i don't) it would be meaningless now since the game has been out and active for over a month...

I really wish people would thoroughly read everything before freaking out and blowing a gasket. HAVING YOUR LEVEL MODERATED DOES NOT PREVENT YOU FROM PLAYING IT!!!!!!! OMGWTFBBQPWN. Just disconnect from psn and you will be able to play, edit, copy your level. Or you can copy it before you publish it so you dont have to worry.

Yes the current mod system is borked by griefers, but MM is working on it, and most importantly your hardwork isnt gone, just disabled while online.

Signed,

I know that, but the whole point is it shouldn't of been moderated in the first place, by going around the system you also can be banned from the PSN.

Every Thursday, in the usual Store updates. The day is still young for news, but I'll post it up if nobody else does.

Actually, $5 dollars CAN buy you a PSN game with the PSN sale (how long is that going on)- so yea, the shirt's a rip off.

Oh, and costumes go up with everything else on Thursday NOT Tuesday (that only happened because of Thanksgiving. The PS Blog has always stated that this was going to be a "weekly" thing (though I'm sure they'll have to slow down eventually) so I would expect something new every week even if it's something really lame. I'm hoping we get the Street Fighter pack.

I actually don't mind the moderating going on right now. However, this is not an open invitation to intentionally go and report one of my levels right now.

Think of it this way:

If there really IS something offensive, and someone reports it, would you want the level to stick around for a few hours/days until Mm gets around to looking at it, or would you want it instantly shut down until Mm gets around to looking at it?

What is the point of trying to moderate the offensive content, if they allow that content to remain available for people to see?

Mm isn't a bunch of Supermen, and they can't check every level within seconds of it being reported. So until they're faster than speeding bullets, the best thing Mm can do is:

1) Temporarily shut down any levels that are reported
2) Check the reported levels, if they are ok, open them up again, if they are offensive, keep them closed (and maybe contact the creator, to let them know what they could fix/remove)
3) If they notice repeat false alarms coming from a single PSN account, put a block on that account.

Step 2 obviously takes time. Someone posted on a page or two back the news from Sam The Protagonist, in which he mentions there are nearly 180,000 user generated levels. If even half of one percent of these are reported, that's still quite a bit of levels for someone to have to play through and check. Think of how long it takes to play through 150 user levels, as part of the trophy. And now imagine playing 500 levels, and carefully combing through every part of it, looking for anything offensive.

Thing is that is someones job 8 hours a day... Sam said there have been very few moderated. Like in the range of 300 total or so.

Toefer has a good point with their stance on taking it down until its reviewed. This is definately a predicament as anyone can report any level so the bigger/popular levels would be huge targets for this.

I wasnt complaining about you cali. I was complaining about people afraid to publish for fear of their level being modded/deleted. Sam_Protaginist said himself that its ok to play/edit your modded levles to fix them and republish them.

People read about this problem, turn it into doom and gloom, and then a moderate problem becomes the end of the game for some people. I understand why they have the system they, but i still think it stinks. The immature few ruin it for the great many. I just hope MM tweak or speed up the process. I also hope they suspend/ban people for fake reports. Who ever good griefed Azure Palace needs to have a warning sent to them about fake requests and if it happens again, ban that username and ps3s MAC from the LBP servers. Let those types go back to talking smack on COD4, Halo, and Res.
