That could be the case, but I imagine it's more likely that that's part of someone's job, and not their sole responsibility. Mm isn't a huge place, from what I understand, so I would think everyone there might wear more than one hat.

Yes the current mod system is borked by griefers, but MM is working on it, and most importantly your hardwork isnt gone, just disabled while online.

Surely with this post you are reading and *****ing yourself?

I'm not against moderating because obviously some people are going to try all sorts of disturbing and nasty stuff if they know nobody will do anything about it. I personally just find it frustrating that that a level of mine has been moderated when I know for a fact there's nothing offensive about it (other than the fact it's not that good). If it's purely somebody using the grief button just because I didn't them back I'd be seriously annoyed because that hardly seems fair does it? And the more levels there are and the more idiots that roam LBP this will just escalate until it's unmanageable by MM.

And I'll admit I didn't know about being able to access moderated levels when your offline, my excuse being that I never read instructions or anything But if this is the case it basically makes moderating useless. Your level gets moderated, go offline, copy it, change the name, go back online and republish it. Serial offenders may get their PSN blocked eventually, but can't you just create a new one and start the whole process again?

Yes i am *****ing. Not so much here, but a lot of people at lbworkshop are retarded. They dont read and think its the end of the world. Its aggrivating that bad, demeaning, and more importantly FALSE information spreads so much faster than good.

And until MM or Sony block someones account or MAC (IPs can be too easily spoofed), sure people can just recreate whatever obscene garbage they want too.

Im not trying to be argumentative at work, its just a really really slow week at work and im going crazy.

So has anyone else here actually reported a level? I did in the first week - there was a "white power" very racist level that the person even said in their description that it was racist and if you'd be offended just leave it alone. Didn't even have to walk away from the door to see hate symbols - yeah, "good griefed" that one in a heartbeat.

So I got some tips on my LittleBigPillowFight level... I gotta make it so its based on time instead of how many points one can pick up and the point bubbles dont stop so the scores are way off.... Anymore ideas or tips are always welcome, I need this level to get me my hearts...

Does anyone know if you can reset the scoreboard once a level is published?
I feel like a douche b/c when I was building it, I originally had it so that you got over a million points.... But then I changed it to only a few and your score from the race... but now my score shows as a million and anyone else who plays it only gets 30,000 and under....

And whats with everyone saying WTFBBQ??? Yes I know what WTF is and what a BBQ is but why? This is also a trophy on R2... just curious....

Oh and PA_Kid, thanks for the invite last night.... And ya sent me a couple things but I havent had a chance to check em out, I will tonight....

I think you might need to publish it in a new spot and not republish.

Yeah, it's the key to get into My and Cymbol's test lab, I think I may have sent it twice in error - should be the exact same thing.

My level has all 4 weapons available now - my goal is to finish up my cagematch and publish it this weekend.

Hopefully they're able to use a debug mode or 'god' mode so they don't actually have to play the level to see it (along the lines of the mode you're in when creating the level -- able to fly around looking at everything without having to actually play it).

I reported it cause I couldn't get past the spinners!

Seriously, though - why do you think it would have been moderated?

I think it's a bunch of X-Bots trying to ruin LBP - kind of like how they tried to influence the Meta-Critic score a while back.

The moderation seems out of control.

haha. exactly what I was thinking. I knew it would happen, I should have changed it. I actually did. Signed out of PSN and made the changes. I don't know whether I should wait to re-publish or wait to see what they say about the level. I don't want to wait 2 weeks though, not sure how long it takes.

Yeah, I wouldn't know what to do. I'd probably give it a day or two, and if it's still not back, then publish the new version.

CALLING ON CYMBOL

Since you seem to be an expert with lighting, I figured I'd seek you out for some tips. I was trying to run with the Chaplin idea today, and so far made a picture to use as the level button/logo thing (it's just a top hat I drew out of some shapes, and a mustache, on a white screen). So my next step was to try to get the black and white effect going, but haven't had much success. I've played around with the level's brightness/foginess and then added an LED light, and set it to foggy, but not really sure if this is the way to go about it. Not sure whether you'd know either, but figured I'd ask.

You just didn't scroll down far enough - keep scrolling down to "Color Correction" for your black and white effect (and some other eirie reds and greens, etc.)

You can try a slight fog (the fog has lots of adjustments) - to go for that "diffuse glow" from old movies - or put a lot of LED's and choose "foggy" and various points in your level. Also, remember you can increase the radius of the light. Sometimes (I'm doing this a lot in my new level) it is best to place the LED on a piece of dark matter above the players view and increase the radius to light the scene. It's better than have tons of LED lights everywhere (which is sometimes what will look best).

Try it out - check out the effects it has on your scene.

Hope that helps.

The Planetoid observatory has just seen that the Little Big Planet 1.05 patch is now live. It went live at around 11pm GMT / UTC and is a teeny tiny 15MB in size.

Like previous patches, there has been no official word on it so right now there is no news on just exactly what this patch contains. We’d put our money on it being some minor stability fixes, much like patches 1.01, 1.02, 1.03 and 1.04 did and they were all around the same size. Media Molecule did, only a few hours ago, announce their commitment to improving key areas of the game: Searching, Moderation & Online play. So with any luck they’ll be some improvements in this patch to one of those areas.

We’ll keep you updated with the latest news the moment we hear it!

Good to hear.

If you guys get a chance, check out "30 Second Deadly Dash". You have 30 seconds to get from one side of the map to the other.

Oh yeah, and you're running on bombs the entire time.

And if you don't finish in 30 seconds, a bomb goes off at the beginning of the level, and then a giant chain reaction happens.
