So, with a certain degree of certainty, I think you can rule that out.

It would seem that your level got corrupted somehow. Maybe during an automatic save it froze or something and glitched it. I can't think of anything else it might be.

I'm having issues as well, I save my level - go to play it and find things missing - have to go back to create mode and place them back (these are things that I placed and saved way back in the creation process, so they've been there a while).

Now, while I'm creating, I hear random things break when doing simple tasks like placing a sticker. I do admit, I am working right up to the threshold of the themometer (deleting little things so I can still keep adding other things), but still - just totally confusing to have things breaking and dissapearing for no good reason.

Well, all you can do is contact MM at this point and ask them to confirm or deny whether your level is in moderation. I have been thinking I should be copying my levels to a different section of my moon once in a while in case some serious glitch happens. I keep putting it off, but that's probably a very wise thing we should all be doing.

Hope you get it worked out.
Yeah I think being moderated before being published is a bit of a leap but I'm grasping at straws here

The thermometer was only around 40% because I tend to be minimal with the materials I use. There were a lot of wires in the level though, but neither of these things should cause levels to bugger up like this.

I've also heard stuff break when I've put something onscreen that isn't even touching anything else, wasn't even in the same plane! Very frustrating.

Looks like having backup copies of levels is the way forward to avoid this happening, but we really shouldn't need to and it's taking up space (don't know if you're limited to the number of levels you can have on your create moon).

So I guess cross your fingers and hope that's the case.
I tried again last night with the same results. I'll try again when I get home from work but my hopes aren't high. But like you say 'fingers crossed'.

Then watched a bit of basketball, played some Dead Space and Prince of Persia then came back to edit my level. 'Failed to load level'. WTF . Went offline and tried again, 'Failed to load level', WTF x 2 Now bear in mind that I haven't even published this level so WTF is going on? I get the same message from the level that was moderated (for no reason and I still haven't had it released back to me online). So is it possible to get a level moderated even if it hasn't been published or has the game just decided f#@k up my level so I can no longer access it? If I don't get my work back I seriously doubt I'll be creating anything else with it again, and at this moment in time I'm seriously thinking about getting rid of the game completely.
You weren't moderated, because when you are you can start up the game while being offline, then go to your level and it will load. When moderated it tries to get it from the saved server, but it is also saved on your hard drive. You can even save the level again, rename it and repost it online.

The Failed to Load is part of that process but in this instance I can almost 99.9% guarantee that your level has been corrupted, sorry.

Yeah I fugured as much, but being moderated is a better thought than the game/PS3 trashing my level I even tried copying the level but again got the 'failed' message and it just creates a blank level. I really wish there was some way to get to the stuff in the level because a lot of effort was put into it. And I really don't have the will to actually do it all again, and has put me off doing any more.

For some reason why LBP craps out on me after 5 minutes of playing. Then when I try to play it again it will not unless I delete the Game file, but then it crashes while its trying to install.

Anyone else have this issue or have heard of this issue? I thought at first it was my laser again, but I just replaced it and all my other Blu-rays play just fine.

I was thinking it could be a disc issue, but I was able to play it for the longest time with no issue.

I'll double-check it when I get home to make sure there aren't any scratches.

Did you perhaps eject the disc while your level was on screen.

I accidently hit the eject button once while moving my remotes and the game wouldn't load - all other blu-rays/movies loaded fine - after a restart of my PS3 - it worked, but I had lost all recent changes. It seemed to corrupt something - but was able to delete it upon restart - luckily, I was just testing things so I didn't actually lose any real data.

Sorry to hear about that - I think I would definitely feel the same way. (Actually, that's how I did feel when I thought the game had crashed on me.) Sooooo many hours are put into it, to start over almost doesn't even feel like an option.

It crashes when I try to reinstall the actual game.

Nah, I've never ejected until I've quit out of the game and am back at XMB. I hope that by some miracle it just decides to start working again when I get home, and if it is I'll be making at least 2 backup copies

I seriously think I've been jinxed this weekend, first my water heater stopped working, then my pc decided to stop outputting anything to the monitor (and I'm having trouble finding a new graphics card for it because it's a slimline pc and they're all too big), then my shredder just went dead, and then to top it off my LBP level seems to have gone down the toilet

Wow - my condolences man. It's never fun when it all seems to hit at the same time.

Just think of it as build up some positive Karma.

Too lazy to post the link, but on the Playstation Blog, they've announced the "Festive Level Pack". It includes...

2 new costumes (Christmas Tree and gift wrapped sackboy)

1 new Material (Giftwrap/Cardboard)

2 new objects (Sleigh and a festive light)

6 new Decorations (Festive Bauble, Bell, Wrapping Bow, Candy Cane, Card, and Stocking)

a bunch of stickers (including red nosed reindeer, elves, turkeys...)

all for $2.99 on Thursday.

I bet CYMBOL wishes this pack would have come out earlier for his Winter Wonderland series.

See I think this is stupid, its too late to bring this stuff out. This should of been out a couple of weeks ago, so we could have created our christmas levels.. theres no fun when it takes 3-4 days to make one, and then only 6 days to play it.. They need to learn timing...

I somewhat agree, but if you look at most of the levels online, people spend 30 minutes making them, and then only 10-20 people end up ever playing it. So this is great for most people.

Even though stores start selling Christmas stuff in late September, I don't think selling a Christmas-themed pack of LBP DLC would sell very well if it was realized before December.

But yeah, maybe a week earlier might have been nice.
