I finally published my 4th LBP level. It's a follow up to one of my previous levels "Bitter Jungle" in the sense that it has roots/inspiration from SOCOM. I'm surprised to see how quickly the level came together (the advent of the paintinator helped), but I guess I did have a basic framework in mind from when I worked on my previous SOCOM level. I know I posted this in the other "level" thread, but this one has more traffic, and I'm looking forward to some feedback. I'm particularly proud of the Chinook helicopter that I employed in this level. Check it out, please. I called it Death Trap

CYMBOL,

While I am sad that I won't be able to play the continuation of your Winter Wonderland saga (the screenshots you took of part II were amazing), I'm glad you didn't quit the game altogether, and that you got back up on the horse. Looking forward to more of your levels.

I wonder if there might be a lot of server congestion (hopefully from a massive influx of new LBP owners out there). It's been kinda hit or miss for me today. Most of the time I get on the LBP servers, a few times today I wouldn't and just waited a few minutes, tried again and was successful.

Anyone know if it's at all possible to find a GOW Costume Pack code that is still valid? I have a great costume idea for Freddy Krueger, but I need a costume item that is part of one of those costumes.

Well, in Canada I know that there were a lot of copies being pulled out of stockpiles at retailers on Boxing Day (Dec 26th = Canada's Black Friday). I talked to at least a dozen people in the half hour I spent in each store I visited about the game, which they were buying.

I have to say, I'm a bit dissapointed with the MM levels for MGS. They look great - that is one thing MM does that many can't seem to pull off. Their levels never look "pieced together".

However, other than the introduction of the new paint ball and plasma balls - they didn't really do anything that creatively wowed me. I've seen some incredibly creative levels (the Dead Space Level blows away any of the MGS levels), and while MM has proved yet again that they can build a solid level - they didn't do anything everyone will be puzzling over or something we haven't/won't see a hundred times.

I don't have a problem with the content. For $5.99 I think we got a pretty good value - but after the initial excitement of having new levels has worn off, I'm just surprised to find that MM show us anything new creatively.

What do you guys think?

Also, has LBP seemed a bit more glitchy than usual to you all (around the time of the MGS release?)

I will agree that creativity wise, there were not on par with the other levels we were grown accustom too. That being said, I really enjoyed them and I would have gladly paid the price just for the gun as it adds so much to the game. The levels were concentrating on the shooting instead of the platform element that we all loved hence the lack of creativity I believe.

For the bugs I haven't really noticed anything as far as playing, I can't speak for the level editor as I haven't touched that in a while. The only bug I noticed is that sometimes it gets hung up on loading a level and you can't do anything and you have to wait for it to finish loading whatever it's doing , or exit the game and come back in.

Thanks for letting me know about the dead space level. I remember I had seen it but forgot to play it.

Guess you missed that part of my post. It was a discussion about how creatively they used to the tools for level creation compared to people who have been using it for only a few months.

As I said before, I think we got a good value for the content included.

Carry on. . .

When are we going to get a sequel to the Dead Space level?

Also, what day do we usually hear about the new costumes coming out on Thursday? (Actually, wont the update be on Tuesday or Wednesday because of New Year's?)

This made me curious as to whether it was Media Molecule, or the Metal Gear team at Konami that created the levels....

Who made the Dead Space level? Still a couple of days until I get back to my PS3 and will forget about it.

This game is pissing me off!! Twice now I have gotten the last 14% of the items in needed on the Collector level, and it is missing AGAIN! What the heck! It happened to me on the Wedding levels too. I had finally got 100% on the first level, and when I played last night online I was missing some stuff again!

I also can't seem to get my headset to work with this game. Do I have to do something to talk? My on screen status shows me connected and un-muted.
