i just deleted my game data and i am going to try to dl all updates (v1.07) and no other DLC other than the MGS pack and replay it to see if maybe some other stuff is causing the bug.


EDIT: Uhh...no I'm not. I just put in "my" copy and the kids broke it too. I had bought them a copy and myself...No they have broken both disks. Ugh...No LBP for a while until I replace it.

Hehe...Any parenting suggestions on what you would do in this case. I wouldn't really care if they would just say...I broke it sorry. But they are kids.

Is there anyone that can save the progress on the MGS pack beyond LVL2??

Fiancée made a PSN Japan account specifically because I had been wanting the Ape Escape costume, but it wasn't available, so no, no foreign DLs on our system.

My aced and 100% icons on the LittleBigStore globe as well as the collected items themselves didn't save on MGS levels 3-5 even though my trophies DID save. Eventually it irked me to the point that 1 day I decided to ace and collect them all again. I did it offline so I wouldn't get the invite pop-ups at crucial moments, then I turned it off for a while and did other non-gaming stuff. When I came back, my trophies were still there, but my collected items and gold ace and gold goodie bag icons were gone again. So I acd 3-5 for the second time that day, online, and they saved.

My PS3 has turned off once after quitting LBP, if that counts, but I don't have any of the Asian DLC.

Also, I have no problems with the MGS pack.

You said they were gone AGAIN...then you said they saved.

so it didnt save the items, but the levels showed up as complete?

Just so people realize this...I was kidding on parenting suggestions. I was just trying to express my frustration at the issue. i will deal with it here no problems. they will spend a week in the basement with no food or drink other than water and dry bread.

I haven't d/l anything from anywhere but the US PSN... I have the MGS pack and have had my created level not save after putting hours into it as well as had my progression not saved after playing through multiple times on the MGS levels.... I have also had a issue a couple of times with the PS3 shutting off... All the save stuff fixed itself once I deleted a bunch of stuff in the "Community Objects" section... That spot fills up with a lot of useless crap people put in prize bubbles... Also deleted some pictures from playing other levels... After doing so I haven't had any issues with progression or levels created not saving...

Ohh that sounds interesting...So i mught have deleted all my game info for nothing LOL.

Yeah, my biggest pet peeve about created levels...People putting prize bubbles of junk...just use the trophies that go around, that will keep peoples profiles less cluttered. I mean 10 prize bubbles with photoes of stuff you have played? If you want to include a warpig tank or sumthing then sure, its actually something useful. Just a thought.

EDIT: I was guilty of this a little bit in the beginning. but won't be doing it in the future. Just trophies or equipment that could be useful like my sliding gears and gate. but no stickers unless for some reason it is relevant, however any sticker switches can be done with existing stickers, its not like there arent enough

Yeah, I've tried to provide objects I've made that they might think, "That's kind of cool" - like the stained glass windows in my latest level. But I try to to give prizes that will be able to be used in their own created level.

I did try and provide a prize in Puzzle Wheels that was a bit different. I provided a "Create your own Puzzle Wheel" as a prize. Basically, I set up everything the wheel, the platforms, the electric floor - you just have to "cut out your own maze" and make your own puzzles. I tried to provide something that people might enjoy as a creative side project. Also, they can see how easy/hard it is. People don't give away many prizes that can be used for "creative" play - so I thought this might be a fun few minutes for some people who enjoy that kind of stuff.

You have to create your own sticker and give it to them in the level to use because not everyone will have all the stickers in the game. Also, some of the initial stickers provided in the story mode may not fit in with your level.

no...they didn't show 'til the THIRD time. here's the sequence of events:

days after release:
1) collected 100% of MGS prizes, aced some MGS levels, got MGS booty master trophy
2) most MGS items disappeared, aced and goodie bag icons disappeared, trophy stayed
one day, a couple weekends ago:
3) aced levels 3-5, collected 100% again, OFFLINE. quit LBP & shut down PS3 properly
4) turned PS3 on later, most MGS items, gold aced icon, gold goodie bag icon disappeared AGAIN, booty & aced trophies stayed
5) aced and collected for the third time, ONLINE this time, quit, shut down
6) restarted, collected items and gold icons finally stayed. trophies were still there, of course
