Thats why I can't make any changes I wish I had more time so I could learn such secrets... It would have made failure more interesting, I only needed the dark lighting at the start to hide the first obstacle.

I made a level with premise of constantly hitting the user with negative feedback such as the next task is impossible.. or just flat out blatent lies..

Or just offer no speech and show almost no way to continue...

The only way to finish is to think outside the box and be observant.

2 things I regret on that stage was the lighting for the rest of the stage that extremlly took away from what I was trying to accomplish...
There was a rocket with a switch the switch connected to hundreds of tnt explosives inside the rocket.. the rocket is actually glued to the world.. you can say that was me being mean but its not obvious because of the lighting.. and the switch is inconsitent...

Second thing was the fall.. Personally I wish I would have cushined that a little more.. there seemed to be random chance of dieing from the fall but I could not reproduce it consistently.. I could not actually calculate what was killing the player.. it was a short fall and its inconsistancy made it harder to realize.

No im not pulling your chain the level is in fact called failure it was my last stage to make..

Oh and if someone had some extra time can someone tell me if wheeler 1.5 is greater then 1.2?

I replaced the wheel of woe.. with the OMG super fast transport... The super fast Transport is not properlly tweaked for that level and had its size changed for humour puproses...

That vechile was from a testing ground level I was working on.. but moving it to wheeler 1.5 it did everything I ever could have wanted it to do.. HAHA..

The game was longer than I expected, but pretty good nontheless. How are you using your powernodes? I'd suggest using them all on the plasma cuuter first before moving on to your armour/kinesis/stasis. Once the plasma cutter is at full strength it is pretty effective. Barely used kinesis/stasis the first playthrough (other than where I had too), so it's not vital to boost these up straight away. Same with the armour really, extra hit points help (one would assume more so on harder difficulty setting) but I never found myself running out of air when I was in the vacuum parts so you don't really need to upgrade that initially. But you will get to a point where everything is powered up as much as it can be at which point you still need to get as many power nodes as possible for the next playthrough (I assume you'll be going for the trophies for all weapons, kills with weapons, and fully upgraded weapons etc.). Think you get 10 powernodes for completing the game plus about 50,000 credits. Plus military armour One thing to note though, once you finish the game then start a new one from your saved game (to get the goodies) you can't change the difficulty. If you want to move up to the hardest level (or change to any other difficulty) you have to start a whole new game, meaning everything you've aquired (weapons, armour, stuff you have in the store) will be lost and you start with nothing again

Now to add a bit of LBP to the LBP thread () why not try my LittleBigPinball level. A couple of people on here have played it and liked it so it's not complete cack. Although hardly anybody else has played it since publishing, 6 plays 3 hearts in over 2 weeks

Surely there is a Dead Space thread around here somewhere. . .

You have to republish your level - often, if you want anybody to play it. If you don't republish, after a few days your level will slip back to page 3,999 where nobody will see it (unless they actively search for a pinball level and happen to come upon yours.)

I republish my "The Great Race" level everyday - it has over 1,100 plays and a few hundred hearts.

Community Team Lead MusterBuster has today confirmed that LittleBigPlanet DLC will resume on January 26th. New content was expected tomorrow (January 22nd), but unknown circumstances have forced a one week delay.

To make up for the delay, a whole slew of updates have been unveiled, and it’s all very impressive!

January 26th

◦Chinese New Year Costumes (free) - available for 10 days only.

January 29th

◦God of War mini pack ($2.99)
◦Kratos costume ($1.99)
◦Groundhog Day costume (free) - available for 1 week only.

February 5th

◦Valentines Day mini pack ($2.99) - available for 2 weeks only.

February 12th

◦Ape Escape Costume ($1.99)
◦Mainichi Issho Toro Costume ($1.99)

February TBA

◦WipEout Costume Kit ($2.99)

We’re also expecting that late February might well see the arrival of a Killzone 2 pack of some sort, and February 27th has already been hinted at by the PlayStation Blog.

I'll pass on that GOW content with me getting screwed over on my pre-order level. I'd rather waste money on everything else and leave that by itself.

BUT I like that groundhog!

I'll take everything that is free.

Sure wish they'd come out with more things geared towards people who enjoy the creating portion of the game more.

I agree. The Wipeout costumes are kind of neat because they are different (in the sense of having a 3d cardboard shaped costume to wear...and I'm glad one of them was the Piranha team), but I'll pass on everything that costs money.

A Christmas themed sticker pack made sense, but do we really need a Valentine's Day one (nothing against V-day, which is my birthday, it just doesn't seem like something that requires paying money for stickers for).

Sure it might be nice to have a few themed stickers, but couldn't they give us a couple stickers for each holiday, for free?

I like the hat on the groundhog, because it's bigger than the other top hat currently available in the game, but I'm assuming that it's combined with the groundhog ears, as a costume piece.

*jumps up and down* OMG APE ESCAPE!!! I wanted this sooooo bad! Alex even made a Japanese PSN account to get it, but wasn't available anymore. Now I want to play Ape Escape Academy on PSP...

and the girl's hair and the hanging-lantern-on-a-stick in the Chinese New Year Pack are super cute!

I'm a bit frustrated with LBP because I've wanted to make a level for the past few weeks, but seem to have misplaced my creative bone (or my inspiration bone, if you feel my levels aren't really creative....they just take existing things and make them into levels).

I was going to work on the Wizard of Oz series, but wasn't thrilled with how the characters (Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion) were turning out, so I quit (though the lion looked pretty good, with a nice mane and whatnot....the scarecrow looked ok....and the tin man looked bad).

So if anyone wants to help by throwing some ideas out there for me, I will respond with a smiley high-five.

Hey guys, I finally published TWO new LBP levels today (they were a LONG time coming).

First one is the Metal Gear Solid 3: Main Theme Song, by popular demand and after the great success of my Metal Gear Solid 2 Theme Song.

Second one is (imo) my best music level yet, again from MGS3 (and by popular demand), it's called Metal Gear Solid 3: Encounter. Took a more artistic approach for this one. But it's still the same style of level.

Give them both a try and let me know how you like them! If you liked my MGS2 level, you'll love these I'm sure.

*Remember: These are both MUSIC levels, so if you have no interest in that type of game, don't say I didn't warn you.

I'm kind of annoyed that they offered the Mainichi Issho Toro Costume in the US. I have a japanese PSN account and I just ordered a Japanese PSN card and was going to use it to get that costume and be a little different than everyone else in the US... such is life.

Now I have to figure out something else good I can buy on the JPN PSN store... we'll see what exclusive LBP content they might get...

I want all the free stuff of course, but I was kind of surprised we didn't get a free cupid costume to go with the paid sticker pack for V-day. That would have been a lot cooler. bow-and-arrow, diaper, and little yellow baby locks...

Oh well...

Not sure what you mean by that. You take what existing things? You made the maze and the connect four board - correct?

What kind of ideas are you looking for toefer? How to make a Tin Man? Or ideas for the series - or an idea for a new level altogether.

As for Oz, well, that was a serious undertaking. I will say, I find character creation very difficult. I think Stephie did very well in her level making the characters recognizable (which is saying a lot when dealing with real people - especially that many).

If anything, I figured the Tin Man would be the easiest to make since he is kind of "robot" shaped and can have box like features.

I thought costumes were region-coded like most DLC. You may have been saved from wasting your credit.

I would have prefer level package based on other game like they did with MGS. I don't really care to pay for new costume.

I'm more PO'ED that they are offering the GOW pack/character, because that was the reason I reserved it... bullcrap...

I feel bad who traded for/bought a Kratos costume code, thinking that the GameStop preorder was the only way to get it. Now any/everyone can get it for $1.99.

True, but what I meant was that I generally just take an idea that already exists (Chaplin movies, a Connect Four game, etc) and LPB'ify it.

I think in general I've been trying to think of a non-Wizard of Oz idea, to make a level out of, only because I kind of want to make/publish one more level, to have something new out there, before burying myself in the Wizard of Oz levels (which I would probably avoid publishing until at least having 2 done, but preferably having them all done).

i wont pay for any costumes .. thats insane it adds nothing to the actual gameplay .. i wont pay for any "packs" either unless it contains actually useful stuff ( new material , parts , etc ) even jsut stickers means nothing as i dont use many stickers anyway .
bring me more levels ( MGS levels were AWESOME ) and more materials ...
