I republish The Great Race and Puzzle Wheels everytime I log in, and sometimes again when I log out. The Great Race was made before Puzzle Wheels and TGR has over 2000+ plays, and PW has close to 800 plays. All my levels seem to get about 100 hearts per 500 plays - I've noticed that ratio seems to be consistent with a lot of levels out there. So, don't be surprised if it takes a while for the hearts to catch up. (Of course, getting your level played doesn't mean hearts will follow automatically.) Hope that helps. |

It takes a long time to get plays on your level initially. The system almost seems impossible for new levels to compete with older ones because they fall off the Cool Levels pages so quickly.
When I was publishing my levels daily, I'd get about 50-100 plays each time before the level would just stop getting played entirely and I'd have to republish it to "bump" the level so to speak. |

Yeah, I figured I got the game too late, and now there are so many levels, it's going to get lost in the mix.

Now I think Chaplin has 1 or 2 new plays each time I republish, and I've only been republishing every couple days. |

Just keep at it. The level I made I didn't publish until mid December and it didn't get "popular" for at least a month after that.
I usually published it a few times a day. I even recorded how many hearts and plays I got each day and threw it into an excel spreadsheet to watch how it grew in popularity. I can show it to you if you'd like to use it as a benchmark for your level. As far as i can tell, for your level to stick on the Cool Levels, you should expect to have about 10,000 plays and around 600-700 hearts. The more hearts you have, the less plays you need. They must have some kind of formula where a heart is worth X number of plays. For example, a level with only 5,000 plays but 1,500 hearts will be counted as much more "popular" than a level with 500 hearts but 10,000 plays. |

Bah! I'm not releasing Puzzle Wheels II this weekend as I had said/hoped. I'm just not happy with it. The thermometer just made me cut too much and now I feel it looks thrown together towards the end.
Somehow, the last wheel just ate up the thermometer. I don't know why. I know a lot of people think I have too much in most of my levels to begin with, but I just don't think this level is as progressive as I wanted it to be - and what can I say, I'm very picky about the "look" of my levels. ![]() Anyway, I might let a few people beta test it - but I will probably just delete most of it and I'm not sure when I'll get back to it. I already know what's wrong with it - but I should probably see what others find wrong. I think it's back to the drawing board on this one. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() @ Rike255 - I finally tried your MSG music level - well done! Although, I did fall off the lift and had to run the last 1/4. ![]() Honestly, I was getting bored - but the music levels are just not my thing. Although, I completely appreciate the time and effort that goes into them. I would suggest making the lift "jump off" proof until the end - when it would open. Also, I would recommend some visuals for your next music level. I think a big reason I don't care for music levels is many times it's just the speakers. Maybe for players like me - you could add some fun visuals to go along. Glad to see your level has so many plays and to see these types of levels get such recognition. @sssick - I played your Mario level. I was pleasantly surprised - I didn't expect it to look that nice. Very well done on the design. I did have a couple of problems. The first play through I couldn't jump across the gas - and thought I might have missed something (I found out later you just have to "barely" make it) - so, I jumped down and fell out of the level into the music area. I was able to finish the level and got 5th place. I restarted, and found out I could make the jump but at it would be VERY close. But I got to the end and couldn't progress. The magic mouth said to replay the level for the music portion but I was stuck. I couldn't go back up the pipe and there seemed to be some grabbable material in the ground but it didn't dissolve. Not sure if I missed a switch or something isn't working. LBP is glitchy - you might want to ensure everything is still working properly - LBP is known to delete a switch etc. at random. I couldn't finish the level. Please let me know if I missed something. I think I would have had the highscore. ![]() Anyway, really well done level. |

On both of those instances, there is a wooden mario block that you have to push to get past. On the long jump that you made (I've never made it... ![]() The second part with the dissolve is also a block you have to push though the opening and it opens the trap to get to the finish. I had a grabbable mario, but the level was moderated, so I had to take it out. I'm going to play it some more and see how I can make it better. Thanks again. |

![]() It's definitely gotten worse getting your level played. But, I still enjoy creating, but it would definitely be nice if it could get more plays. It's like writing a book that nobody reads. ![]() |

Does anybody know where the least obvious prize bubbles are in The Mines and where the freakin' sticker switch trigger that is a car in Lowrider is? That's all I need to get 100%. Oh, and one I can't find in the Dancer's Court. I'm at 90%, 94%, and 97% respectively.
