So, if you have a story level that is a trilogy - you would have to complete Part I before playing Part II.

Or, it can simply be a reward (giving them a mini-level) for completing the main level, etc.
Is it hard to link the key to a level? I'm working on an insane level. I'd love to put keys through out it for every one to find...Can I link 19 levels to this one level if I wanted cause i can make 20 levels?

When you publish a level - you get a key for it in your inventory (whether it's locked or not).

If you have 20 published levels, and wanted to locked 19 of them - you could put all 19 keys (I'm assuming) throughout the first level.

Of course, if you lock a level, it could get less plays. Just because someone gets a key doesn't mean they'll try the next level.

Unless it's a story level that wouldn't make sense if they missed the first part, or a mini-level/continuation of the main level - I wouldn't lock it.

I have locked levels for different reasons. I publish my levels as locked once in a while as a backup. After having a level crash on me, I decided I should publish it locked on their server. So, no one can play it yet (I don't want them to cause I'm still working on it) - and I have a safe backup. Also, if you want someone to beta test your level you can give them the key so they can try it out without everyone else getting access to it.

If you haven't had someone beta test your level I highly recommend it. You'd be surprised how many issues other people find. The reason is - people don't play your level the way you designed it. Trust me - have someone (or more then one) try your level out and give you feedback before publishing it.

I guess I was looking to publish my own moon with a story to it I guess.

I'm about half way done with my level then a few tweaks. I'll let you know when I'm finished. From what I read, your the man at creating levels. I'd like to hear your opnion.

Haha, KZ2 isnt that important for such a big update. Their will be costumes (which we've already seen), but no level pack. I believe (as many do) the next level pack will be for ff7.

I really don't think that my level is hard and there is a lot of double check points at the end or beginning of each sections that you can die so I wonder if something can go wrong with it that prevent player to finished it? And the problem is not the length either... my thermometer was filled quite fast so its kind of short.

It is extremely difficult to find the fine line between difficult and frustrating.

I know many people hate the race against the cold with Jack Frost in Winter Wonderland. I've had people tell me they didn't like it cause it was random and their was no way to win (which isn't true, is proximity based), I was told they were "cheap" kills , and someone left a comment that actually said, "I couldn't beat Jack Frost and lost interest".
Its a bit sad that community players don't give a chance to hard level. And when I play other people level I find most of them too easy which start to make me lost interest.

I hope to try it soon. I've been working hard on finishing my Survival Challenge. Ran into another glitch and may have to simply give up on putting one of the effects I wanted.
Give me your comments/recommendations when you will have time to try it.

That would be awsome. I would like very much a Lord of the rings pack too. Movie franchise would be very cool in levels pack

Hey there, saw your comment on my Puzzle Wheels level (thanks). So, I followed your name back and played your level.

I had a problem and had to quite because I wasn't sure if I was doing things right.

First, the beginning part with the baby looks great. Everything is scaled and sackboy looks small, jumping and swinging through the giant room. Looked great! So, I got outside and took the bottle (good thing there was a reminder) and started the level.

Thing is, I got the jetpack and I don't think the jetpack was glued down because I started flying all over the level. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do - so, I stopped at the cart that is on a wheel and slowly drops down from level to level. When it got to the bottom, I wasn't sure where to go and figured I had messed up. I decided not to try again until the jetpack is fixed so I know where I'm supposed to go.

Let me know if I was simply confused and that was the way it was supposed to work.

(I hearted you and your level - from what I saw, it was a really solid first level.) Look forward to giving it another shot!

When you publish your level - a copy of what you have on your moon gets put on the "world". Your copy on your moon is still there to edit (if you find glitches, etc). So, you can't publish your "moon" itself.

Alright, I wouldn't say "I'm the man", but I certainly don't mind helping out any fellow creators if I can.

Wow! so that's the problem!!! no your not suppose to fly all around the level!! I've tried so many things so many times but never though about the jet pack!

Yeah it was intended to be faster, but I was scare to adjusted it because every time I unglued a part of that "mountain" every thing is a mess, I have to delete the movable parts and redo it after everything is glue back together... but now since I have to glue the jet pack, I'll take care of that too!

I'll fix this tonight thanks for the tryout!

Its really not easy to build a level that anyone will play as intended. Its a lot of works and challenge!

Yeah, I learned that with my first level - you have to glue down the jetpacks and set the length (so it won't go any further than you want it to).

Also, I knocked down a tree - most of them seemed glued down, but I knocked one over while I was flying around. But yeah, it is hard to build a large level and find every little thing that could go wrong. People like to play around while playing the level - they jump and swing on things that you didn't intend, they go the wrong way, they fall in areas you didn't know existed.

Again, that's why I so HIGHLY recommend getting buddies to beta test it before you release it.

@fsavoie - did you make it to/through the last wheel in Puzzle Wheels?

I hope to post my "Puzzle WheelSurvival Challenge" tonight.

I have a couple of people beta testing.

I played it and had a good session and lasted around 7 minutes and got 6,000+ points!

I had a buddy play - and he only got 400+ points after a few tries.

It will definitely take a few plays to get the hang of, hopefully, people try it a few times to get the hang of it.

Also, the board will begin to change the longer you stay alive to make things even more difficult. Lights begin to change to cause disorientation, and dangers start to manifest.

Hopefully, it not just super hard (even though the point of a survival challenge it not to beat it - but to get the highscore) - and hopefully people will find it fun.

Yes I am a proud Puzzle wheel champion (I don't remember the exact term). I finished all the wheels (the last one, aka the bonus one, was my favorite!).

I would love to test your challenge!

Yeah this tree is a real nightmare! it always seems to glue with dissolving material that are way farther on the level... so its why its still unglue... anyway your not suppose to go there with the jet pack... or by any other way

I understand that! that would have save me from the bad ratings (at least I can make me believe that)... I'll need to have some buddies when I'll do another level!

Cool glad to see you got "Puzzle Wheel Master"!

Ok, are you at home now? I'll send you a PM with how to access it.

Actually, I'll post a way on here for anyone who wants to give it a shot.

If anyone knows where the secret room is on my "The Great Race" level, you can go there and find the key for the "Puzzle Wheel - Survival Challenge".

I only ask that you try it more than once before posting your two cents on the level. I don't want too many people to beta test - I already have 3 - but I figured if anyone knows where the secret room is, it's because I've either shown you - or you figured it out on your own and so it's cool if you try the PW-SC.

Anyway, let me know if you're at home, if not, it won't do much good to give you access since I'll probably open it up tonight (if the beta testers don't find any major glitches).

Well, do you know where the secret room is in The Great Race? You have to at least look for it once on your own!
