There was a slightl, tiny bit of new news about the PSP LBP, but it's not much, so I'll quote it here:

Quote:
Koller added that the developers were also looking at ways for the PSP version to connect with the PS3 version, perhaps to share levels, though he said no decision had been made yet.
Told you it wasn't much.

Yeah, that is how I died with over 7,000+ the wife was talking to me, died on an electric star.

I think to avoid people just repeat and repeat the same paturn you should electrify some time the red platform beside the yellow grabbing bonus or make it turning... also, maybe just ramp a little bit more the speed of the wheel after some point it would give more a sens of urge and challenge.
Yeah, I decided to stop ramping up the difficulty, I didn't want it to be impossible. I have a tedency to go overboard and keep adding till I can't add any more. My levels are known for being quite long.

So, I was already worried that people would die after 30 seconds and not try again. I ramped up the difficulty, but didn't want to have people throw the controller in fits of rage by making it impossible.

But anyway it still my favorite challenge up to now!
Thanks,

Btw, the effect I wanted to add but couldn't was teleportation.

There is a new effect out there that lets you grab something, get killed and teleport to another part of the level. I was going to add a purple "Teleporter Rod" that would let you teleport to the other side of the wheel.

I can get it to work many times in any other level - but for some reason on this level it kept sending me straight to the scoreboard.

It would have been a cool dimension to add to the gameplay. You could escape the gas at the last minute and teleport to the otherside, or, it could be dangerous if grabbed too soon and teleport you straight into the gas (depending on where the wheel was at that moment). I'm sad it couldn't be added.

oh come on, are they not even trying with costumes anymore? You could totally make that yourself in game.

BTW, LB Contra is SOOOO good! Why aren't more people in this thread talking about it?

No kidding - that wasn't much at all! Basically, just one big - "Uuuuuugh".

You'd think they would "KNOW" that kind of stuff when starting a project like this.

Cymbol, If it is, you should totally enter Puzzle Wheel Survival Challenge!
Where did you see there was supposed to be an announcement?

So I know you guys are all probably busy with Killzone 2 now, but I figured I'd ask anyways.

I just published my new level "Radical Dreamers".

Again, I made the music for the level which is the theme for the whole level, but THIS time there is actually gameplay involved instead of simply listening to the song. For this reason could you guys try my level and let me know about any changes or improvements you think I should make?
I really need feedback because most people online will just play it and rate it which gives no real information.

Now that I'm finally finished this level (other then updates/tweaks), I can FINALLY start playing your guys's levels again.

Thanks!

Haha, how funny - I was just republishing my own levels and I went to the "Cool" pages to see if it made it on any of those -and I see yours. Radical Dreamers. (I was coming back here to let you know I checked it out and saw this post.)

I played it several times - always on difficult. I kept dying before the song ended (which didn't allow me to get to the scoreboard), so I kept going back.

I really liked it and found it addicting to try and get the highscore.

The music was well done and there was a nice atmosphere.

Nice job on everything!

(I expect you to play Puzzle Wheels and get "Puzzle Wheel Master" before the night is done. )

Hmmmmm, why is that?

You never know. I thought people were going to HATE Puzzle Wheels. I thought they'd think it was too hard, and that it took waaaaay too long (over 20 minutes) and people wouldn't even finish it.

It turned out to be my most critically acclaimed (can't think of a better phrase) - that is to say - people who left comments were very praise-worthy of the level.

So, you never know. Just remember, no matter how good your level is, people will tag it with "rubbish", "empty", etc. Even the 5 star levels have those tags - so don't take it to heart.

CYMBOL - I played your level "Puzzle Wheel Survival Challenge" and I really enjoyed it! It's very different from most other levels out there so I found it very refreshing. Also addicting! It probably took me 4 tries just to figure out what I was doing, I'm a slow learner haha.
Anyways, I really liked it, hearted it. I'm going to try your other levels soon too.

EDIT: WTF, somebody glitched on your level CYMBOL and got a score of 627,000...
