The point was for NEW costumes coming, they patch it so you can see the costumes. aka Everyone downloads them, but if you purchase them you get a 768kb key to download to unlock it.

But I means, if i've took a picture in my level (with lbp intern camera), and I want to use that picture, and put it beside my level description (because right now I have a stranger's picture of my level attached to my description and I want to changed it to put a picture that shows better my level).

First, you have to take the your picture while in Play mode (any pictures you take in Create mode won't "upload" as a preview).

Once you take the picture, go to that picture in your stickers section. Hit square, then scroll down and select "Upload". That's it.

Any pictures you take will come before any guests pics (which is nice when people take cr@ppy pictures).

Just be aware - it might take a couple of minutes after you do that for it to show as a preview. Just a couple, at most. (Didn't want you to be worried if you exited the level and didn't see it right away.)

Ok so maybe its why it didn't worked this morning (after your post I though that I did it in creating mode.... I'm not too sure) I'll check this tonight

Do you know if there's any way to delete guest pics? Some people took some really random pictures in the Chaplin level, and I always get annoyed when I see them. I guess I could always take a few on my own, and hopefully the person will start the level before it cycles through all of my good pictures, so they'll never see the bad ones other people took.

I at first thought that pictures were automatically uploaded, but after realizing people were intentionally uploading these, I couldn't understand why someone would want to go take random pictures, and upload them to the description, unless they wanted to be annoying.

I think one of the pictures is from stephie_r, or whatever her name is (I saw her mentioned earlier in the thread). There's also a guy named x3 who posts a lot of pictures. But I have no idea who either are.

There is no way to delete user generated pics from your level that I'm aware of. I have a level (The Great Race), which has a lot of (imo) neat lighting effects, some fun vehicles, etc. - and someone took a closeup picture of themselves at a switch handle showing nothing of the level.

The only thing you can do is take many pictures yourself. The max seems to be around 5. Your pictures will cycle first, so at least you can determine the first round of pics.

Your last picture is usually the first one displayed. So, if you go and take 5 pics, and think of one more and upload it, your latest pic will show first and the "first" picture you took in the series will drop off. (Hope that makes sense).

(Also, note that for some reason LBP doesn't seem to capture spotlights in pictures. If you look at my Puzzle Wheel Master picture that people have uploaded to that level, no one has the spotlights showing. I also have part of the level in Puzzle Wheels II that has probably a 100 of these - I took several pictures and the spotlights never show up. I remember you had a strange issue was well, where you took pictures in your Chaplin level and they came out in color.)

But yeah, it would be nice if you had an option to delete an uploaded pic like you can delete a comment.

Weird..no new costumes in the store for two weeks now. This is weird because they have already shown the next 6 costumes and they released an update to the game yesterday.

We recorded this Podcast about a month ago, but then I went on holiday to Japan for a couple of weeks (and got engaged to Mrs. Kenny, woo!), and then Moo went on holiday and then…

…it all became horribly out of date.

But rather than re-record the whole shebang, we decided to release it as is. So, ignore the out of date references, and think of this as a little test run. It’d be great to gauge what the level of interest is in this kind of thing, get a bit of feedback and then move on to the next Podcast full of vim and vigour.

Well I think I may be finished (or almost finished) with playing this game at least for a little while. After MM put out the new publishing rules last week (levels get a max of 7 days in Cool Levels Pages) and then commented on how they like the way it's working (so don't count on any changes), I decided now's the time to quit. Definitely got my money's worth with this game. LOTS of hours and had lots of fun. I have only one more project to complete for a friend then I'm outta there.

2. It's just time.

I don't mind that MM put a cap on the time allowed on the Cool Levels. It's better than how it was in the beginning when the earliest releases had so much momentum that nothing was going to get them off. We had the same levels for weeks and weeks.

One thing MM has seemed to do and not told anyone about is make it so a level published before the last patch CAN NOT get stuck on the Cool pages. Many people are upset, because even with plays their levels slip right off. (It's things like this that get me annoyed with MM - changing things and not telling anyone). I know a lot of people on other forums are "just done" with the game. Kind of sad really.

I've had a LOT of issues with this game and while I think MM deserves the kudos for their inventive game, I feel a lot of people give them a free pass with the many well known glitches.

Anyway, the biggest reason I'll be putting this down for a while is that their is little return for all your hard work. It's really sad, look at all the LBP threads on every forum, even the main LBP site, and it's people asking for others to please try their levels.

People spend hours and hours just to get 50 people to play their level and leave comments like "H4H".

It's a wonderfully creative game, but I think people are getting frustrated to never have the chance for people to see their creations. No need to paint a picture if no one is going to see it.

I'm sure when I come back I'll make another level. But mostly just for myself.

Oh Cymbol,

You'll come back:

1) when they make a new level pack (and they will, probably sooner than later- it was three months once the game was released to the introduction of the first level pack and now its been almost three months since that pack)

and

2) when they release the patch that lets you create online with friends (which I believe will be sooner or later too, MM has been devoid of download content for two weeks now- I think they are planning something BIG)

Are we still on for a contra run through on Saturday (I also think after seeing those 8 or 9 levels you'll be inspired again too)?
