I don't understand the big deal about the beta. The game is only a few weeks away, and the US will likely be getting a beta soon. As Americans, we weren't supposed to be part of this one, so it's not a huge deal if we're not.

There are a few codes listed on ebay.co.uk that are already going for >20 pounds, which I think is ridiculous.

Is it that cool to be in a beta that you are willing to pay that much for it? I don't get it, but at the same time, if I had a code, and someone offered $40 for it, I'd gladly sell it.

The presentation of this game is really special. The video intro, music, narration, user interface, video guides and so on come together beautifully.

It's not half bad to play either. I've watched a lot of LBP vids but there's so many cool little platforming ideas that it's still completely fresh to play. Lots of hidden stickers and stuff in the levels, only got about half on the second level and I was quite thorough. It's nice to be rewarded for exploring in a direction that isn't the obvious way ahead, sometimes you see somewhere you can't get to but later the method of access makes itself apparent.

I haven't got too much into the create aspect yet, I encountered a bug (or I was doing something stupid) that halted my exit from the Sackboy stacking tutorial.

Games is a lot of fun, beta is short, not a lot of levels, but multiplayer makes up for it

The minigames are a great idea because it's easier to be competitive. Doesn't take a lot of time to go in and have a stab at beating your friends' scores.

The friends menu is looks very nice in game, I wish Nintendo could copy from Sony *sighs*
