You are thinking of a Survival Mode scenario.

Portals don't transport you to the scoreboard, but rather, to a designated place in the level. You can do it again and again. If you plan to have hazards AFTER the portal, you should have a regular checkpoint activated as usual - but once passed the hazards, if you want another portal you'll need a switch to crush that checkpoint before the next portal.

It is tricky to design if you have multiple portals within a level - and it has to be designed very specifically if you want to use it for more than one player.

In the end, I've found that the Portal effect is cool, but doesn't really add much to the gameplay and most times isn't really needed.

I think it would be a nice enhancement to creating levels.
I think this would be a lot easier. I don't think the update would be to hard either.

You're right, it would be a lot easier and a cool addition - but it is interesting that people found a way to do it that wasn't meant to be part of the regular game play.

Other interesting addition would be logic gate and timers. Its hard to do... but I guess an optimized block from mm should save us thermometer space.

Did anyone buy the Patapon costume? I was just wondering if it came with bonus stuff like the "Buzz!" stickers? Also, what were the different weapons that come with it?

It comes with a bow, an axe, and a sword Stephie. No stickers.

I think thats cool that people figured out hot to do it too, but like someone else said. I'd rather not waste space creating one.

Thanks. We ended up buying it after all. The bow and axe are kinda cool. While trying them on, fiancée and I were making LOTR jokes. You know...

"You have my bow."
"And my aaaxxxxxe!!!"

Maybe I'll use them to create LOTR characters...?

LOL...that's cool, And Black Mamba, I wouldn't get back into LBP just for this costume, the weapons are just for show to my knowledge and don't do damage (Hopefully the rumored FF7 pack will give us weapons that do).

Anyway, is there anyone willing to help me platinum. I believe I only need the "death wheel" level of story mode aced. Stephie was really good at aceing but I'm wondering if anyone else out there is as well. Message me back please.

Its easier to do it by yourself no? The more there is people, the more chance there is to die...

that's why im only asking for one. with only two people its pretty easy and, if there is a good connection, not really any lag at all 3 and more and...your right, no possible way. Though Stephie, Vincent, and I have done that to with some success (we might have even had another one with us too?)

If it was any other level I could join, but I have an incompatibility with that level. When I've done it, I thought I was now an expert, so I told my gf to whom it was her last main story level to completed, that I would do it for her and after 3 consequent game-over tried.... she pick the controller and did it the first try and the worst in that its that she is almost an anti-videogame person!!

Jeff #2, Vincent, Grim & I played it last night/this morning. Vincent saw my technique for acing the 3rd wheel in The Bunker. Maybe he will show you? If not, just hang on the sponge 'til you're upside down, and walk on the ceiling on the 2 middle layers. The outer layer is all luck, timing and skill.

I'm sure you'll understand why I won't show you myself. Headsets don't have a Backspace button, among other reasons.

She probably didn't realize it was "supposed to be" hard, therefore it didn't psych her out like it does most players that read forums.

I just aced this level last night. I never want to see it again.

I thought I was going to get the Play trophy as it was my last un-aced story level, but to my dismay I have to ace the challenges as well (the ones that can be aced). Oh well, something to keep me off the streets I guess.
