Free Druid costume coming to LittleBigPlanet

If you're like us, you like free costumes in LittleBigPlanet -- primarily because it's hard to resist free stuff. Media Molecule's next gratis offering is this "Druid" costume, created to celebrate the summer solstice. As with many of the game's free costumes, this costume will only be available for a week. Europeans will want to hit the PlayStation Store tomorrow (June 18th), while North American PS3 owners will have to wait until next week, June 25th.

The long white robe should help -- as noted by Takorii -- create some excellent Assassin's Creed costumes. We'll certainly be using the beard whenever we cross a bridge in the game, screaming "You shall not pass!"

the Tshirt would show that i was a supporter of hte game from day 1 the rest of those costumes mean nothing i care about actual content not costumes that add no gameplay to it

Wasn't the spacesuit limited also? Maybe not "Day 1", but then there is still a lot of confusion as to when "Day 1" was.

Ok, just sounded like you were implying we couldn't trust the we'd get the costume for free or at all because they never delivered on the launch t-shirt for the US. That's just a little misleading in my opinion as since the launch t-shirt MM has delivered on every free costume they announced - and that's a substantial list.

Patch 1.15 is out. Does anyone know what it does?

I don't know what 1.15 does BECAUSE I CAN'T INSTALL IT!!! Stupid thing installs the first "piece" of it (about 10%, does an install, then starts downloading again) and just comes up with a lame "an error occurred" message. Anybody know how to get around this?

Well, FINALLY got it installed. Had to wait 2 hours, then rebooted, then tried install again. Made it to update 4 of 4 that time but THEN failed again. Rebooted AGAIN and finally the 4th update installed. What a PITA!

The Sacktue of Liberty

Last week we celebrated the Summer Solstice with the release of the Druid costume available for free, which we’re pleased to see many of you enjoyed.

To continue the celebrations, we’re marking this years Independence Day by releasing a Sacktue of Liberty costume, available once more for free!
Featuring the iconic crown and robe from the Statue of Liberty, the costume also includes the famous torch of enlightenment, complete with glowing flames of fabric.

The Statue of Liberty (officially titled Liberty Enlightening the World) was a gift from France to the United States of America in 1886 to commemorate the centennial of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence.
Sculpted by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, the 93m (305ft) high statue’s internal structure was interestingly enough engineered by Maurice Koechlin – none other than the designer of the Eiffel Tower.
It is now internationally recognised as a symbol of the United States of America, and a fitting choice to celebrate the United States of America’s day of Independence this July 4th.

Head over to the PSN Store this July 2nd to grab this limited-time costume in time for the big day.
And don’t forget that the Druid costume is still available this week, but for a limited time only, so make sure you download your Druid before Thursday; if only to secure yourself that awesome beard for your Sackboy.
