We went to Develop and came back with some awards!

Can't wait for some cheese and level DLC news so I can update the thread title with something not costume, sticker or award-related!
That's a cool looking award.

What's the deadline - I don't remember. I just figured this was over and done with.

Is there still time to enter?

Each week the data-miners in our IT department here at Sackboy Central send us a big spreadsheet full of numbers. Some of the numbers mention stuff like “concurrency” and “peak measures”, which are all very nice, although not, for the most part, tremendously exciting. But there is one number in particular that we’ve always kept a close eye on: the number of levels uploaded by the LittleBigPlanet community. And this week, that number became awesome indeed. The community has now uploaded over one million levels.

One. Million. Levels.

Amazing, isn’t it? Just think, this means that a new level has been published roughly every 21 seconds since LittleBigPlanet launched.

If you, dear PlayStation Blog reader, are a member of the LittleBigPlanet community, then please can you give yourself a big pat on the back from everyone at Media Molecule and PlayStation. We are in awe of the creativity, effort and invention that you have all shown in making LBP such a great place to build, share and have fun together.

In case you were wondering, those million levels have been played a total of 244 million times.

The fact that you keep coming back to play, create and share makes us feel all warm and happy.

To those of you who haven’t yet tried LittleBigPlanet, let me ask you a question. What the heck are you waiting for? With over a million different levels to play … don’t you think you might be missing out? :-)

Oh, and one last thing before I’m off to play some of these great user-generated creations on PlayStation Network: check back on this blog around the 18th of August. The folks at Media Molecule might have something interesting to tell you about then…

In the meantime, the lovely people at Media Molecule made this video to celebrate the great LBP community. Enjoy! And keep those fun levels coming!

That's insane. So you could basically play LBP for the rest of your life and never play the same level twice.

Wow that's a lot of levels. Even if only 1% of levels are considered to be really really good, that's still 10,000 fantastic levels available!!! More then enough to keep someone busy for a LOOONNNGG time.

Default I'm looking for a specific switch trigger...

Quick question. All the way back to one of the very first levels, there's a section where you're in a house and ghosts on chains are raising and dropping at you. Well at one point you stand on a boot that kicks you up in the air to a higher platform. Well on that platform their is a switch trigger that looks like a shield or a crest. I have been all over and I STILL cannot find this switch trigger. Does anyone have a clue where to find it?

my wife and i had some friends over last night and we were up partying and playing LBP until the wee hours of the morning. i hadn't put it in the PS3 in quite some time, and i forgot how incredibly beautiful and fun this game is. it is unfortunate that gamers without a PS3 are missing out on such a masterpiece.

Default Cole MacGrath

inFAMOUS Good/Evil Cole MacGrath costumes this week!

Danger: Pun levels are high – Ample warning has been given!

Whilst thinking of new costumes to make, some bright spark had an electrifying idea, one that might not shock anyone but one that was certainly quite current and one we just couldn’t OHMit.

This week on the PSN store will be a costume based on is-he-good-or-is-he-evil loose wire Cole MacGrath, electric super power possessing protagonist of recent PS3 game InFAMOUS. It comes in both flavours too, Good and Evil.

We love this costume so much it hertz. OK I’d better pull the plug on these revolting puns before somebody blows a fuse!

Looks like the only difference is the handheld red or blue spark - I'd hope they both just come with the single costume. Think I'll have to grab that as I finally broke down and bought Infamous and love it.
