hey anyone interested in helping me get party person (play with 3 ppl on your list)? I have CYMBOL on my list, and another guy I know, but I'd need at least 1 more person to be online and playing LBP to hop in a game with me. If you are interested PM me and I can get your details.

Takes some work at first - yeah, definitely re-read it. I expect to get at least a 100 plays on my level by the end of the week - much more if I can get it "stuck" on the cool pages.

My last level - Puzzle Wheels II got up to over 2,000 plays before it went off the Cool pages. My highest played level was The Great Race, which got over 7,000.

I've actually started republishing some older levels like the first Puzzle Wheels, just to see if I can get more plays on it. It had over 2,000 - but hey, I figured who cares what number it shows - no one new will ever play it if I don't republish it once in a great while.

I don't think I ever got that trophy, so let me know.

Best if you can set up a day and time - otherwise, you might PM me but I could simply have a game on pause etc.

I still have to ace all the levels, beat the game and find all the stickers.

Might have been easier to list all the things you "don't" have to do.

Hahaha. I do still have a few holdout levels to ace. I go back and attempt them every so often. Hate the Uncle Jalepeno ones.

The only stinking things I need are the 2 creator gold trophies. I have 29 hearts on my best level and I have 21 as a creator. Im getting close. Once I get those 2, Ill have my 2nd plat.

How do you tell how many times you have been hearted as a creator? I've never looked at that.

To Cymbol in a previous post:
I guess you have to beat all the mini-game races without dieing in order to get the trophy where you have to complete all levels without dieing. I've aced all the main levels, but never really played the mini games..So, now I'm back doing that.

The Race levels yes, the survival challenges no, since you obviously have to die. Most were fairly easy. The hardest one was toward the end levels where you have to jump from little platform to little platform. I think that was harder than the level with the big as wheel.

It would be nice if they simply added it to everyone's inventory and led you to the tutorial the first time you selected it.

There are some items I never even new were released. If only they would update their "updates" page when they release new things. I think the "updates/new" page still talks about making Survival Challenges - which was posted at least 6 months ago or more.
I did the tutorials, but the water didn't show up until I restarted the game... ?

It's there now. Thanks...

I think it shows you when you go to "ME" and have the arrow on yourself - in the middle of your created levels. I think it says it on the top right or something.

I think getting hearted as a creator is probably the hardest - I remember people had a thread going to give that to each other for the trophy.

I've never cared much about trophies, so I never kept track. (Although I think I hearted some people to get them their trophy/Plat).

Sony shows off 3D LittleBigPlanet
Quote:
Sony has revealed a stereoscopic 3D version of hit PS3 game LittleBigPlanet .

A video demonstration was shown at MotorStorm developer Evolution Studios yesterday, along with a range of other developmental demos. Attendees enjoyed two playable samplers in the form of the magnificent Super Stardust HD and a 3D demo of Motorstorm: Pacific Rift.

LittleBigPlanet and Gran Turismo 5 were the pick of the non-playable demos, according to Eurogamer technoblacksmith Rich Leadbetter. "The stereoscopic 3D has afforded the parallax scrolling landscapes a phenomenal sense of depth," he said.

"In the original LittleBigPlanet there can be an element of confusion about which of the game's platforms 'live' on which of the three planes of depth. Stereoscopic 3D puts an end to that, ensuring each of the parallax elements occupies its own distinct area within the 3D space." This, reckons Leadbetter, is a cool example of how the move to 3D technology does represent genuine gameplay advantages.

Another eye-catching part of the demo was the starting sequence, which showed Sackboy change from 2D to 3D as he put on his own 3D glasses.

Sony refuses to be drawn on exact games that will be released with its forthcoming range of 3DTVs, and won't commit to a timeline either. However, the screens themselves along with two PS3 system updates (one for 3D movies, the other for games) have been given tentative summer release dates.

More details on the Sony presentation, including an in-depth tech discussion with lead members of the development team, will appear on Digital Foundry later this week.

Incredibly cool that the PS3 will be updateable to 3D - incredibly sad that I won't have a 3DTV any time soon.

You know, I love "LBP" but the depth-perception, or lack of it, is definitely a downside to this game.
I don't know if it's just me or my crappy screens, but I have quite some experience in 3D-gaming
and also a great eye for detail, but I just can't help but running my SackPerson enthusiastically into an object.
Which might make a funny moment, but it gets annoying after the 100th time.
You sometimes just can't see (in time) which layer the character is on,
even though it's 3D-graphics, it's mostly viewed in a pretty straight 2D-perspective.
Not to mention the annoying auto-switching of layers.
I know this is mostly to help land you on something safely, but can at the same time also be in the way.
And these things can often have terrible consequences... like death!...

But anyway, so be it, cause having to buy 3D-technology just for "LBP" isn't going to happen. XD

Good luck creating - very time consuming! Let me know if you need help with anything.

Lots of fun last night - my mom is visiting and she couldn't stop laughing at everything we all were doing. It's been a long time since I've played with lots of people - nice not to see ANY lag.

And thanks for playing my new level (even if that guy didn't follow the rules and took the boat out early ) - and for taking a look at the beginning of my 3D level (very difficult to work with - we'll see how it turns out).

I got the LBP plat last week, Thanks to everyone that helped out with the hearts. I would like to get the POTC DLC but my backlog right now is overwhelming.

Cool - let us know when it's done.

The Great Race II is doing well - about 80 plays and about 20 extra plays on the first Great Race level - so that's been pretty cool that people are checking that out after playing TGRII.

It all comes down to the weekend. You have to get as many plays as you can during the week (maybe even get it "stuck" on the cool pages by then if possible) - but if you can get 150/200 plays during the week - when everyone gets on during the weekend - they are more likely to play levels with lots of plays and good ratings - your chances of getting your level stuck on the Cool Pages goes way up, which of course, brings in all the plays.

I republished the first Puzzle Wheels level and have about 60 plays on that one - with some cool comments.

I hate when all people leave is "h4h and author" - or simply advertise their level - at least leave a comment.
