Pretty sure I hearted you as an author too when I hearted "Swing".

Still working on my 3D level - very slow going - lots of strange things to manage. Just need to figure out a way to end it and I'll be done! Woohoo! - Then I'm taking a break from creating. Two massive levels back to back is exhausting.

Instead of making these epic levels, you should make awesome little time wasters like my levels. So sleek, so quick, so fun.

That's my new motto.

(Now if they could live up to more than 1 of those 3 things.)

For some of us building a level is the we play the game.

any pics of the white knight costumes? I think they'd look pretty sick if they were of the white knight/black knight!

You know, they never start out this big - but as I start building, I think, "Oh, wouldn't it be cool if. . ." - before you know it the Thermometer is at the peak and I don't have enough room to finish.

I did make a "time waster" - The Puzzle Wheel Survival Challenge is my "quick" level - but even that was a project. I just don't know when to quite sometimes.

Anyway,

Here are a few pics of my 3D level. Very slowing trying to end it. But it keeps growing. Should be an interesting looking level.

This is the opening decent into the level.

LBP pics don't show electricity - but those long poles glow blue with electricity in the game.

This is in the game - but nothing significant - but shows how lighting up the different 3D layers can give off a great effect. This will be the "Patch" for the level.

Back to work.

Yeah, I definitely build more than play - I actually rarely play unless a new official level is released or someone on my friends list has new level or needs some help beta testing - otherwise, I create only for the most part.

It's fun. Like building an interactive model from scratch and figuring out how to create things from nothing but your imagination. Very cool stuff.

No biggie..Sorry if I came off as a dick. My levels sucked when I first started. Give it time. They will get better.

Cymbol, I can't wait to play your 3D level. It looks amazing. I need to work on better lighting effects in my levels.

Back to work.
Haven't been on LBP for a while, what is this 3D thing? Are you in a beta test for it or something?

No beta test - it's a glitch (there are a LOT of new LBP glitches that people are using to make new things. LBP is full of glitches. Sometimes, people use them to their advantage (non-slip glass, grabbable glass, walk-through walls, teleporting, etc.) - the latest glitch is uses all the layers instead of the 3 the game intended.

However, the "extra" layers are visual only and cannot be played on. But it really adds to the look you can give your levels.

It can be difficult to work with though, afterall, it is a glitch. But it's been fun to see what kind of effects I can manage with it.

The 3D effect can add layers infront and the back - here, I have a LOT of neon in the background which cascades up and down as the player goes through the obstacles - gives a neat effect.

Oh, and here is a funny glitch that I plan to use in my level - these things "grow" real big and follow you around when you pass by - kind of freaky actually. (This is just me messing around with the effect to learn how it worked - this isn't in the level).

LBP has had as many (maybe more) great add-ons from glitches as it has official updates.

Bah! LBP is killing me again. Thought it was done - but I can't get the ending to work 100% of the time - so, looks like I'll be delaying publishing this for a few weeks since I have to go on a week long business trip next week. Re-creating the ending will take a few days. I'm bummed.

That sucks. I just started and finished a new level tonight. It's a survival level. I might be a little tough, but I like it. I went with the Pirate theme again. It's called:

Ghost Pirate Bomb Survival

If anyone can think of a better name for it. I'm all about changing it. I have a lot of room left to build in it to. I'll probably add things here and there. Let me know what you all think.

Just played it. I liked it. I'm the soul survivor in the #1 spot.

I usually have the same problem, but since my level is a survival level. It didn't take much space.
