But also cause I only have the game for about 3 months now.
I do have some starts and ideas for levels though, but it will still take a good time to finish them.

I almost have everything, except for some of the parts for more than 2 players.
I'll come through the levels and collect some if you want, don't care if I have them already.
Ok, cool - if I see you on and I'm around, I'll message you and see if you're around. Sometimes, I might have LBP on, but have the channel changed - or stop creating while I do something else - so, if I don't accept an invite - it's cause I'm not there.

Creating a decent level takes AT LEAST 3-4 weeks. Even more for larger levels. Half my time is beta testing (getting things to work/look the way I want.) But, I do enjoy it - kind of like building an interactive model using nothing but your imagination and ingenuity. Pretty cool.

OK.

Yeah, indeed. But I just like to mess around with stuff too, see what happens.
Sometimes I just lmao at the simplest actions creating the biggest catastrophes. :P
And I also like to just build ideas I get on the spot and just save them as fixed objects for later uses.

You know, the level-creator is great for kids to learn logistics and stuff.
All the buttons and switches and mechanics and such
beat the heck out of trying to fit shaped blocks into the correct holes.
This game can really stretch your brain if you go there.

Yeah, LBP can be simple - or can get incredibly technical.

I tend not to rate too harshly on basic levels, cause it may be a that a little kid made it.

Some levels are "fun" - but I love when I find a level and marvel at the meticulous design - or, when I get those rare moments and have to think, "How'd they do that?!"

I think my latest level that I'm working on now will have a lot of people scratching their heads wondering just that.

lol Yeah, I have that sometimes, but there's a lot of junk too to be honest.
Well, some are obviously done by kids, you can usually tell by the text and the "level-design". XD

The flashy showy levels are getting pretty tiresome.
About 50-75% are like those sit-back-and-watch kinda things, which is just a waste of time.
I was just playing a bit again and half of them were just that again.
Just stressing out the system and it was a slow lightshow most of the time.
Most levels made are just not the type of challenge or puzzle sometimes the originals are.
I guess the general LBP-players their state of mind is "Who can make the most spectacular and flashiest level." .
Just give me a good adventurous and perhaps puzzly kinda level.
I mean, I don't mind a bit of special-effects, but playable content is what makes the game.
Otherwise it's just a real-time-rendered movie or something...

The names of your levels look interesting instead. I also like the survival-ones if they're doable.

Well, if you don't mind challenging gameplay - then you should enjoy my levels.

They are difficult, and hopefully, have innovative gameplay. I hate games that are - "make 30 jumps in a row" . I really try to have "something new" in my levels - either visually, or involving gameplay. Puzzle Wheels features a bit of both (I think, anyway.)

If you want a unique and challenging gameplay experience - try my level, "Puzzle Wheels II - Wheels Gone Wild" (single player) or, "The Great Race 3D" (1-3 player). If you don't like those levels, then you won't like any of my levels. Puzzle Wheels 1 is more puzzle/maze oriented, while Puzzle Wheels 2 is more action oriented.

(By the way, I recommend you don't bother with "The Garden at Midnight", or Winter Wonderland" - both of those are my early levels, and. . . just aren't that good compared to my later ones ).

Let me know what you think. Don't worry about criticising, if you don't like it - no big deal, just let me know how I can improve it.

Thanks,

Alright, I might have a look at them in a couple of hours, if I'm not too tired then.
But I don't like too difficult levels, just... challenging as in, you have to kind of push to get a better result you know.
Not difficult as in "get it right on the millisecond or die". XD

Oh, well then, perhaps Puzzle Wheels 1 is more your speed. There are four wheels - but I made the fourth and most challenging wheel optional.

The Great Race 3D is challenging, but should be doable.

Puzzle Wheels 2 is hard and not for the timid.

Thanks for trying to help me with those 2 player bubble prizes, Chris. I just suck at playing LBP. (Which is ironic since I tend to make challenging levels - that's why I always say - if I can beat them, anyone can!)

Seem what I really need is two people to join me - who are good players who can get those prizes.

Too bad you didn't have time to see my beta test for my new visuals.

Maybe some other time.

Oh, the level isn't ready for testing - at all. Just started designing the actual level - I've been beta testing a new effect I've come up with. It is really fantastic and (I think) will blow people away. I was just going to show Chris some of the effects - I just started building the level (now that I have all my effects done), last night.

This level will be pretty wicked (I hope). Still not sure of the name yet - but basically, Sackboy is left in charge of the Dream Machine (which keeps all the dreams bottled up) - let's just say he doesn't do a very good job.

I was needing help with getting the 2 player prize bubbles in Story Mode, cause I lost everything when my 60 gig died. It's been a hassle trying to get it all back.

Ok, let me know. Wifey and I can play with you so we can get you the 3 player ones as well. I think there are only 2 or 3 4 player areas.

That would be great! (My wife thinks Sackboy is adorable - but couldn't play to save her life.)

Hay, just invite me if you're on and I'm on too, or a message or something.
I'm pretty good at the story-levels by now. XD
I've aced everything except the last "Wilderness"-levels (only 1 I think) and collected nearly everything.
Except some of the multi-player-parts too and perhaps some things I just can't find.
Like one of the "Savannah"-levels, I believe the "Kingdom Of The Meerkats", I have 1 percent to go or whatever.
But I can't for the life of me find anything else. I've been through it perhaps 20 times for the last thing,
but nothing... Don't know if that's a bug or anything?

Also, I played some of your levels Cymbol, they're pretty cool.
I did find some issues with them though, I could message them.
Ironically I found the "Puzzle Wheel I" unplayable and "II" I got through much better.
That is personally though.

I also made a simple level myself, spent maybe 12 hours on it the last 2-3 days.
It's pretty nice, very short but a nice start for the first I'll probably publish.
I've started with other ones months ago, but those are the longer adventurous levels.
The one that's nearly done is a race-type of level.
Might be finished up in a day or two if I get to it.

About 1/3 of the way through, there is a maze type area. There are little white stones at the edges of steps. You can drag out one of these and there is an item behind it. That one took me forever to find.

Yeah, I have several levels that I can't find an item or two for the life of me.

No - you don't need to message any problems you found - let me know here if you want so I can fix them. Obviously, if something is broken I want to fix it - and I don't mind criticism, as long as you have a recommendation on how to make it better.

What do you mean by "unplayable" - as in "broken" - or just not a fun level for you? Did you get motion sickness?

Be sure and let me know.

Yeah, if I see you on I'll see if you have time to help out. Thanks!

(And thanks for trying my levels, even if they weren't all your type of thing).

No problem. I'll try and post some pics here sometime of my new level (or, at least, the beta testing of the effects) - unfortunately, the effects deal highly with motion and lighting, and LBP does this strange thing where it takes the picture without the glow of lights, and it changes any lighting conditions (black and white), to normal - so your pics don't reflect the look of the level.

But like I said, it doesn't really matter since the effect deals with motion. The pics won't give a true example of the level, but at least a hint of what the effects will do. It would be like freezing a frame of animation - doesn't give you the full effect.

If I catch you on the weekend, I'll show the effects in motion - if not, no big deal, you can always see it once the level is complete. (Only difference is, you won't have seen the "behind the scenes", so maybe it will be cooler that way.)

Oh, by the way, don't want to build up the effect too much, it's not game changing, just really neat.

As of now, I'm calling this level, "The Dream Catcher", or "The Dream Machine" - I keep changing it.

Well, the first one I just couldn't find where to go.
I'd hang there and I'd either fall into something or go into the gas above.
There's probably some more action I'd need to take, but I couldn't really see it.

But, some issues I found, if I can recall...

Yeah, there was at least this part with a power-wheel or something...
You had to take it to get somewhere, and it was quite a long road,
kind of zig-zagging to left and right and back I believe.
But at some point I got thrown out, I don't know what happened, don't think I let go.
Anyway, I lost the wheel so I had to walk through the dark and that took a while. XD
I did find the wheel though; it was at the end...

Also, I just have a tip for an improvement I'd like to see as a player:

You know how you have these explanations for how to play your level.
Well, it's not very handy if you want to quickly go and play them if you're prompted with the text every time.
I don't know if there's already another way, but this would be the tip:
You know how you have multiple paths in at least the second wheel-level,
as in having a choice for where to go or what to do.
Well, it would be cool if you'd do it the same at the start.
Two paths, either for explanation or to play immediately.
Just an idea.

I did get through the second one better as said.
But, I didn't get through it all the way because I died at the "electric star "-part.
You warned though, in the level, that the last part is very hard.
Only, that part is a little annoying to be honest, not the whole thing, just the star-thing.
But that's probably just me again, I nearly got it, but it's just too close every time.
The rest is great to play though, very well made, not annoying or undoable, you know.

You must be talking about the Puzzle Wheel Survival Challenge - the object is to swing around and gather as many points as you can while avoiding the gas at the top and avoiding the obstacles. There is no point except to try to get the highest score.

Sounds like you did not try Puzzle Wheels "1", but tried the survival level instead.

People have mentioned that before (quick intro vs. the long explanation). I know, I know.

Yeah, I've tried to make the star easier - but it is still very hard. But by the time I got around to considering re-tooling it - a lot of people had already gotten their "Puzzle Wheel Master" photo and posted it on the level page, so I didn't think it would be fair to make it easier for everyone else.

Thanks for the critique - always appreciated.
