Posted by Mark Valledor // Marketing Manager, SCEA

Next week, we’ll be at San Diego Comic Con 2010, in the PlayStation booth with your chance to play LittleBigPlanet 2. And if you’re at the convention, we’ll be giving away a small handful of these exclusive “Team Sackboy” shirts (we’ll have both girls and guy shirts. These are extremely limited, so keep watch on our PlayStation.Blog Twitter and we’ll let you know when/where/how to get your hands on these exclusive shirts – you may see something like this …

“LittleBigPlanet 2 @ SDCC: Want a Team Sackboy Vampire shirt? Come by the LBP2 area and show us a pic of Spider-Man Sackboy! First 25 ppl gets em!”

See you there!

We hope you’re enjoying last weeks LBP DLC. The PSP’s Heroes in Uniform pack has a great collection of goodies themed around the emergency services teams that make sure we’re safe every day. So, is anybody else doing anything in LBP? Creating?

I'm slowly working on "The Dream Catcher II - The Shadow Realm". Lots of beta testing mostly, but I think I'm finally in the actual creating stage now where I can start building the level.

I think I'll be able to create a unique experience and offer people something they don't see everyday - and in some cases, things they haven't seen in any other level.

I have the first 45 seconds done (whew!) and I am finally happy with it.

Anyone else have any projects they're working on?

I'm working on an Alien level. I have family in this weekend so nothing is getting done. I just keep running ideas through my head.

Alien invasion?

Yeah, I usually consider ideas to play around with while I'm driving back and forth to work, or when I'm working out.

Wish I could be one of those people who draw their levels out on paper first - but I tend to simply try a hundred things out till I find something that I like - or, I have an idea but can't get it just right.

I mess with lighting and change materials all the time till it looks just right.

I don't think I could co-create. I'm too slow and mess with every little detail. Wish I could, but I think I'd be annoying to work with.

I'm probably late, but are the levels we create in LBP1 carried over to LBP2? If that's even possible?

Just wondering!

Yeah, you are really late.

The trailer says, all the LBP1 levels will still be accessible in LBP2, AND even receive a visual upgrade.

I would still love to do "Sackmageddon" - a multi-part adventure where you blow up an asteroid hurtling towards LBP, but at this point I may just wait for LBP2 to see if the tools are any easier (I'm assuming they will be).

Just to get back in practice I may try and go back to the 3 round cagematch level I was building - I think some of the improvements since I last touched it will make it a lot easier. If I don't get refamiliarized with the tools before LBP2 I'll never get anything done.

Just too many games to play - still need to finish War For Cybertron, go back and plat all 3 GoW games (I'm 1-2 trophies away on each), go back for all the clues in Batman:AA, finish Heavy Rain, play more ModNation Racers and unwrap Uncharted 2. (Seriously, its been sitting on the shelf wrapped since x-mas.) I love LBP, but it has definitely been a casualty of my limited time.

Haha, wow - haven't seen you in here in. . . forever.

Yeah, I got through my LBP moments. I don't start many games because I know I don't have the time to devote to that many. I had started to get into Uncharted 2, but then my 60 gig died on me (despite people saying that U2 wasn't the killing the Fat PS3's. ).

Anyway, I had to redo all my LBP stuff. So, I mainly switch off and on between LBP and Warhawk. I'm strapped enough for time as it is without redoing all the games I had all over again. Really bummed out about that.

Honestly, I doubt I'll be getting any new games till LBP2, which for me, is like a big extension of of LBP1. More create tools!

If you've been out of LBP1 for a long time, you'd be surprised how many glitches are used in creations (like the 3D glitch).

I'm still having fun with it, although, after the Dream Catcher II, I probably won't be creating anything else until LBP2.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.......I was creating today for quite awhile. I was bringing my level to a closure. I wanted to see if something would work and it did. Just needed a little camera tweaking. When I rewinded to put things back to where I had them before. My PS3 froze I lost hours of work. I have to start all over again tomorrow...uggggggggggggggggg

Bad news for Cymbol:

On the PS Blog post detailing LBP2 and LBP2 Collector's Edition, the official response to one of the comments said all LBP1 levels *except* those with glitches will be playable in LBP2.

Hopefully some of you guys will check it out..I've only played through it a couple of times. I'm sure there are glitches. Let me know if you find any please.

Hmmmm, I had read that they were having issues implenting the glitches into LBP2. With the visual upgrade enhancing the shadows, etc. etc. - they basically couldn't get it to reproduce certain glitches.

There is a glitch in LBP1 that allows you to shrink dark matter down and make it invisible - with the new visual upgrade, those will now show (if I read correctly) - which would ruin quit a few levels that use this (mine included).

I was hoping they'd be able to find a way around it - but looks like that won't be the case.

Bad news indeed.

Thanks for the news Stephie.

Cool bud, congrats.

I really recommend you sign up over at LBPCentral.com - you can create a thread and make it and "F4F" - "Feedback for Feedback". Basically, people will play your level and post their comments in return for you to play their level and do the same.

It's a great way to get exposure for your level and get a lot of feedback.

I will play it by tomorrow evening.

I tried going there and I guess I already have an account there, but it won't let me access it. Oh well. Spread the work of my level if you wish.

STEPHIE'S LBP CLINIC:
Season 1

So, a few people have asked for my help in LBP, either in the past or recently. Currently in line are Cymbol, Jam, LD, Jono & Protectron.

I believe everyone but Jam needs help acing The Bunker and other levels. We can get everyone a platinum or even 100% eventually, but let's start here, so we can get everyone up to the same level.

Episode 1: First 3 people to agree on a time and place get help acing The Bunker first.

It would also help if you post a list of other levels you need to ace and trophies (such as Party Person, Booty Master or Team Creator) that you need help with, so we can make the most out of the first session.

But most importantly, pick a date and time and actually BE THERE first! I'm available pretty much any time of day, so decide amongst yourselves and I'll just show up and bring the snacks
