Does anyone know if the Burnout patch is live in the US, because I don't think mine downloaded anything.

Yeah, I mean, they did it for SOCOM, theres no reason why they couldn't have done the same thing. To prevent hackers, perhaps?

He also said yesterday that that site should be updated today, so I guess we can wait and see. Granted, he didn't specify that the updates would be beta related.

my guess is that they will be releasing something around prime time, i.e. 7-8 pm Eastern Time Zone.

they will most likely want to give as many people as they can a fair chance at the beta, and a majority of people work/go to school during the day so this time would make sense based off that. also, when i got my UK beta the email said i got it at 7:58 pm UK time.

I don't want to spread any rumors or perpetuate any "he said she said" hooplah. I am only posting this to give everyone a heads up at a possible beta code release date.

One user on the Little Big Planet Forums for the US PS3 website is claiming that beta codes will be given out at 7 pm Central Standard Time tonight (i.e. 8 pm Eastern and 5 pm Pacific since we have trouble with that

). His words are this: "LBP Open Beta for the US"

I do not know if that means it truly is an open beta, or they are opening the release of codes for the US. Either way, keep vigilant, especially around 7 CST tonight. This only makes sense considering the UK released their codes around a similar relative time.

Again, this is just one user saying "my sources tell me that..." Take it FWIW. I doubt we will see a true open beta for the US considering Sony has said only 20k codes for the US. I doubt there is any greater of a chance they release codes at 7 pm CST tonight than any other time. But if you are waiting and watching, make sure you are at 7 pm CST just in case.

You know what, the game will be out in a few more weeks. I don't want to play the beta. If I'm paying 60.00 for a game, I at least don't want to be cheated out of that initial "wow" factor when I fire that bad boy up in my machine.
