i cant ace the first level in uncle jalepenos... the jetpack flying slowly carrying bombs screws me up soo bad!

Me too, to be honest. I actually hate that part more than the wheel of death!

I remember that level. That gave me a lot of trouble. I did eventually ace it though with a bit of delicate skill. I still hate the wheel the most. That was so ridiculous.

That level and the one after that took me a good number of tries to ace. But with enough patience it is do-able. Keep trying Xerios!

It was the bunker that took me forever to ace. Now it's a piece of cake. Can ace it almost evertime on my own. Online with other people. If there is lag..No chance..

Yeah, I figured I'd try and ACE a level the other day - that's where I died. The problem with ACING is you could die at the end and have to start all over - I'm not a good player - so that means LONG bouts of time trying to ACE one level.

I just keep thinking the whole time - "I could have spent this time creating instead!"

You've reminded me how satisfying it was to ace and 100% all of LBP's levels. Looking forward to doing it again in LBP2.

August issue? I already have that with the huge LBP2 article and I got the September issue last week. Didn't see a huge LBP2 article, seemed like it is more of a focus on general fall lineup. Only read about half though so far.

Anyone here have the Incredibles costumes? Are they worth it? Got some PSN cards yesterday and picked up the Pirates costumes and thinking about Incredibles.

Now, how is it that you created so much in your level and not filled the thermometer when I started to make a level and put down like 4 blocks twice as tall as sackboy and my thermometer goes up to 20-25% full?

I have a good idea for a level but now I'm concerned that I won't be able to complete it the way I want it. I'm going to be PMing you alot of questions real soon.

The thermo is tricky. It increases for different reasons and has "thermo's within the thermo".

Certain materials take up more room, watch the thermo when you place it, try different kinds of materials and see which ones affect it more. The general rule is to use 4-5 different materials (look at MM's levels, they rarely use more than 3-4 different kinds - many times, they use stickers to make it "feel" like different materials.)

Decorations take up room, moving objects add to the thermo, complicated structers, the number of corners in your level, etc. etc. etc.. . .

However, often, the thermo is only "initially affected". Example, place in a new material - the thermo goes up a full bar. However, you can keep adding TONS of that same material and the thermo barely budges and more. It's kind of like it charges you a one time fee for adding a new material, but after that - it's free.

It can be tricky. Almost every one of my levels was ended early due to the Thermo.

Sure, feel free - but the best way to learn is to go into create mode together.

What's the level you have planned? Is it a plaformer, a survival level, a story level? Let me know - if I have anything (objects, etc.), that might fit, I'll give it to you.
