I added a mouth that says, "One down, I'm sure there is another one around here somewhere". No which one you do first, it will say that.

I had thought about putting that before but there is SO much in the level, that I'm afraid to add even 1 more magic mouth - let alone more logic!

But, I think it is important to make sure the player knows what their expected to do.

Did you have problems with the balloon jumps (the lighter than air Fusion Cells )? Was it overly hard. I've had two people comment that they loved the level, but couldn't get through that part cause it was too hard. I replayed it - and I don't know how to make it any easier without having it something you simply walkthrough.

No problem at all and I loved them! I didnt find it as hard as your other levels. There was only that part with the white 3d balls that were a bit floatty. The small ones went great but the last biggers one gave me hard time to catch the other ones.

Hmmmm, maybe I should make them all small. . .

Thanks again for the feedback. Always appreciated.

Dream Catcher II - Shadow Realm

Hello all, updated with some pics.

Well, this level has been 5 months in the making and features some effects that I haven't seen anywhere else.

It was published last night. I hope you all get a chance to check this out - the comments that I have receieved on the level have been quite nice.

If you played and liked The Dream Catcher - than you're sure to like the Dream Catcher II - which is bigger and better.

I hope you enjoy it.

Haha, thank you very much - rememeber though - the level may not work properly with multiple players (and, due to cameras - may increase difficulty).

Thanks again for your support!!!

I played your level with 2 other people but we got stuck in the shadow realm right where there was a spawn point and you had to jump across (going left) to grap those white glowing spongy balls (the ones that take you further across not up) and it seemed that the first one was missing(glitch)? This part is right after those white glowing spongy balls that take you up. I dont know if it was because we were playing with more than 1 person or just that it was missing....

You know which area I am talking about?

LittleBigPlanet 2 Delayed until January 2011

That sucks. At least look on the bright side: 2011's gaming lineup keeps getting better.

A few people have noted that same issue in the comments - and said they really wanted to finish the level but couldn't due to one of the spheres missing.

I've tried to figure it out - but I can't seem to reproduce the gitch. It seems to be quite random. When I play, or I play on my alt account - I don't have that issue.

Further, I have had people post pics of themselves at the scoreboard - so, it seems to be a random even.

Unfortunately, my star rating took a hit because of it (can't blame them). It's very sad to see my level that took so long to make fall apart due to some random glitch that I can't reproduce.

As for multiplayer - no, this part shouldn't be affected (it does make it harder though). The multiplayer issue is towards the end - if someone happens to respawn during a specific event, it will mess up the triggers - but if its only one player - that won't happen. It would be very random if it broke the level, but since the chance is there - I had to label it as 1 player. In most cases, it won't matter and more than one player is fine.

It was funny, I actually accidently hit "Quick Play" last night - it wouldn't let me back out and had me join some other players - I ended up joining them as they were going to the end of Dream Catcher II - talk about random!

If its only that spot with the glitch then why not extent the ledge a bit so people can grab on to the next one instead....

Just extent it anyway. If people will encounter a glitch then at least they can grab to the next after otherwise if there is no glitch then they can grab the closest one to them?

That's a good idea - but won't work. Some people have said the first sphere is missing - some reported the last ones - and, of course, some people haven't had any issues.

Too many random glitches. I keep getting messages saying, "There is too much complexity in this area of your level, try spacing things further apart". It flashes bright exclamation points on all my logic switches, etc. Seems my level is making the game freak out.

Even though the level will probably have around 1,500 plays before it falls off the Cool Pages, I'm just not satisfied with the 3 star rating.

So, since LBP2 has been delayed, I'll probably see if I can split the level in two parts and hopefully reduce the glitches due to overheating and complexity.

I still get people complaining that it is too hard. One person wrote a comment and said, the area with the slanted stairs "needs to be able to be done by mere mortals".

Sucks cause, the level was working great until I started reworking it to make it easier - then, it started glitching all over the place. Should have left it alone and let all the noobs struggle/quit.

I'll republish in about a month and hope things work better. The first half will end when you enter the shadow realm - the second half will be an unlocked level for those that finish the first half, which will be the actual trek through the Shadow Realm. Since only those who played through the first half can unlock/play through the second half, I should get a lot less whining about it being too hard and reducing the stars based on their skill.

Do you still have the "older" version of your level? You should republish that. It wasnt hard if you were focused at the task at hand

Dont take it too seriously what other players are really saying. Most just expect to breeze it by and play the next newest one.....

To be honest with you, I think I found your first Dream Catcher harder but maybe this time around I knew what I was getting into and it was less difficult.

Yeah, my first level has had some people love it and heart me, but others hate it, as you know, it's actually hard, which I state in the description. I'm going to start making a limbo (the game) inspired one in black and white and all creepy (hopefully).

I'm after some opinion on my levels, have a look (search for Gabi_1987). There hard, yet simple, which is what I want to make, and I don't plan on making easy ones. Any recommendations to improve them would be fantastic.

My daughter (now 9) has been building levels in LBP from very early on. A couple weeks ago she built a "glitch" level detailing the dozen or so glitches she knows of. Today that level passed 1000 plays, and it has a 5-star rating. She's more excited about this than Christmas. This is just such a fantastic game...

If you'd like to check it out, look for builder CreatureCantina.

You should start the updates before you go to bed. That way when you wake up, the updates will all be done.

The game is fantastic and is one of the best Playstation 3 has to offer. You should really give it a shot.
