Serious question.

I thought component cables could do 1080p?

Of course, digital > analog, so picture would be better.

The cables are capable. The problem is there are very few TVs that will accept a 1080p signal through their component inputs. Most TVs only support up to 1080i through their component inputs.

All Gamestops were supposed to give out the code when you pre-ordered. Two managers here have said that anyone who is waiting to get theirs with the game probably won't.

I'd get on it. Didn't someone here already post that their Gamestop was out of them?

Well my Gamestop said that I can pick up the code when I pick up the game as their store will only receive the amount of codes as there are pre-orders.

Alright, tried just a little of the beta last night. Very charming little game. I can't wait to dive deeper into it. May be the first game my wife will play.

I didn't have my Eyetoy hooked up (don't get me started on lack of Eyetoy content! ) - but I saw something in LBP about having your Eyetoy hooked up.

I missed what it said. Anybody seen/used this feature? What is it and how does it work?

Thanks to anyone who can answer.

Got to try the beta last night. Spent over an hour on the credits/tutorial thing where it was stuck.

Turned out it was stuck because I used my remote to turn on the PS3, so it was registered as a device which LBP thought was another controller!

Argh. Right now I'm so pissed off at the amount of time I wasted on that bug that I can't just enjoy the beta. I seriously hope they fix that in the release version, I use my remote to turn on the PS3 99.9% of the time.

I don't know about the Beta, but I remember reading that you won't be able to import images as stickers when the game first comes out. The only way to import stickers will be taking pictures via the Eyetoy.

I read that a couple months ago it seems, so that may no longer be true.

What it means that you can take photos from your PS Eye and make them into stickers.

Yeah, mine was collecting dust also (eyetoy). Wifey used it a bit with Singstar. Pull out ur Eyetoy and try out the unlocked features within LBP. You can take pictures of anything, and make them into stickers.... which you can stick on mostly anywhere within the game. Reference the custom costumes, well, you can take pictures of any "pattern" and copy it onto your sackboys costume! I took a colorful rainbow pattern sticker, and gave my sackgirl multi-color locks!
This game has alot of creative potential and STAND BY to immurse yourself in this world, cuz time flies when your havin fun!

Have you tried this? Does it work?

I probably won't dive too much into creating things till I get the full game - I assume anything you create is gone once you start the "real" game. I could be wrong though.

I haven't been able to try it as I don't have an 'Eye Toy' or 'PS Eye'.

Yeah cymbol, we tried it. Works good. Notice in your photo area, you have different picture borders. My wife took a close-up of our dog, for the heck of it, I'm slappin that "poster" everywhere I can. LOL, kinda like those annoying LOST DOG flyers. Dont get me wrong, I'd prob put one up too if mine got lost.... but I'll make sure that wont happen. He He I also placed one of him in the POD, like a photo frame in my sackboy's den!
