Seriously, do not listen to that. It even says on the Gamestop website that you will receive the code when you 'make the reservation' at a retail store.

You _really_ need to go down and demand your code now or you may not get it. All Gamestops already have the codes and have had them since August 18th. Talk to a manager if you have to. Their website is VERY clear on this and given the commentary from my local managers here I would say it's highly unlikely anyone who waits will see a code (most of our gamestops here are all out already).

If you pre-order at best buy do you get the code right then?

Yes. Just like Gamestop. If you do not get the code immediately, someone screwed up. At Best Buy you actually get a PS3 BD box with the LBP art on it and everything. The only thing inside is the code and instructions on how to pick up your order; however. But, you do get the code immediately.

i guess thats fine, you can do whatever you want with your code, but we would all like it if you followed the list. it is the only fair way as some of these guys have been waiting for weeks to get a code and they may not be at their computer right now.

I was surprised when they gave me an actual PS3 box. The salesman said, "Looks like you got the last one". (I didn't realize there was a "limit" to the amount of pre-orders availabe. ) I asked the girl how the code thing worked and she didn't know, and we couldn't find anyone who did.

When I opened the box, I saw the code in there.

Plus, I got a free PS3 case. I'll get the actual game with its' own case when I pick it up on the release date.

All codes can only be used once. Once used, you can share the game with other people, if you share your PSN name, but that isn't encouraged, as it will lock you out of the game for 24 hours...or something like that.
