CLICK FOR UPDATED LIST

From now on, if your "request" to get added to the list doesn't include either the word "add" or "list" or a synonym of either, I'm not going to bother adding it. I don't feel like digging through every post and interpreting "me!" or "Can someone send me a code?" as "Can you add me to the list?".

not in the beta. Very limited customization in the beta.

Are they even going to be releasing any more beta codes at this point? The beta ends Sunday.

I was thinking the same thing. I was getting so close to the top of the list! I was really hoping to get a feel for the game before it comes out. You can save $10 on it pre-ordering it from circuitcity.com. But I was hoping to make sure it is a game I'd enjoy

thanks to this forum i got a key and got beta yesterday.. spent a good couple hours w/ the game.. it really is fun.

creating process is very intuitive .. but damn it is time consuming.

this will be the #1 consumer of free time for many many many people.

wish the beta would extend til the release.

oh well.

I'm still upset that I can't get the spacesuit for LBP. My copy won't arrive in time to meet the Week 1 deadline.

I hope I can get this worked out. I'm going to be trying to describe what to do to a non gamer via phone or AIM.

Ok so i'm in the beta, and i've played both the regular and online play user created levels.. the entire concept of the game is just to make it through the levels (which are extremely easy) in normal play.. collecting stickers and decorations and what not.. then online play its to collect more bubbles than the opponents while making it through the level? Add to that the customization of your sack boy and making your own levels.. is this all the game has to offer? I can see it being fun for a little while.. just not sure where all the hype is.. someone help .. am i missing something?

the possibilities are endless in what you can create. Let the imagination run wild. Imagine being able to play a new level , everyday, but everytime it's something different. This beta hasn't even scratched the surface of what will be able to do with customization etc. Look what people were able to do in what. a week or so. Imagine when we get the full tools and after we use them for a couple of weeks what will be able to do. It's like having a new platform game everyday.

It just seems repetitive. You have the following options.. pull or drag an object, swing or swing from an object.. then theres buttons you can jump on.. and objects you can jump over.. and levers you can pull which make other objects move. I understand theres 100135135135 different objects you can place in the game and different ways you can do it.. but isn't the end result the same? jump swing pull push?

(i am in no way hating on this game just looking for further insight into the LBP world that i may be missing)

If you look at it that way, every game since PS1 has been the same thing, with just a different looking level...

Cept LBP you can make MILLIONS of those levels, never needing another game...

I don't think the point of this game is to completely change the face of the gaming industry forever. It will do just that with it's level of user interaction... but i'm talking game play.

This game seems to be an endless mario (platformer). There are literally billions and billions of levels that can be created here. So no one level that you play ever has to be the same. It's like playing a game you love and never having to play the same levels, so the game can never get old.

I'm wondering if users can create levels with story lines so there's more than just the one story. THAT would make the game AMAZING!

Yeah..the storyline is what makes other games different.. and thats what this game lacks. I mean.. even Mario had an ultimate goal at the end of it. There is no ending achievement for this game so comparing it to Mario it still falls short. Does this game have the depth to be able to create storyline based levels? And if so...does the online play support it? It seemed like when I go to choose a created level its just a jumble of levels with no sorting whatsoever. Say we find one great developer, who sets up 30 different levels to create a "story". Are we going to be able to sort the levels by developer? Creating a somewhat Super Mario World (SNES) setting. Where we play on his "world" and every level we complete unlocks another.

Is this going to be possible? Sorry for ranting.
