Whenever they release it, I hope they keep that poster as the cover art. Awesome. I love old film noir posters.

It is one of my favorite posters, so they better use it. I have the 27x40 hanging in my room next to Gilda. It's a reprint of course since the original is too expensive to buy. I've watched this at least 3 times on DVD already this year so this blu will get lots of play. It's a shame we will never get to see the deleted footage. Welles original cut would have made this a film considered one of the best of all time. Welles' final draft of the script was 166 pages and is a great read for any fans.

MMM is a really fun film to begin with and that is a great sequence. I usually prefer more subtle nods and references but this one really works.

I just caught the last half hour of this on TCM HD. I don't know where this transfer comes from, but it looks pretty good. The funhouse sequence is amazing! This is a comic book noir on steroids, with Welles at his most melodramatic. I loved everything I saw, and will buy this for sure.

Rita Hayworth completists may or may be excited to hear that Vinegar Syndrome is planning to release THE NAKED ZOO next year, mastered from the camera negative.

I finally watched my Turner Classic Movies recording of this and I must say that this is quite the masterpiece. Everything from the story, to the acting, to the directing, and beyond seemed spot on and kept me engrossed.

I'm really looking forward to this coming out!

iTunes and Amazon have this in HD already. I wonder if it's using the transfer from the recent 4K restoration that the upcoming blu-ray will have, or just an upconvert of the old DVD transfer.

Here are some caps of the iTunes HD download. I will get caps from the DVD as well to match it with these ones for comparison. Skimmed through it and it looks good, but appears to be same master as the DVD with print damage and white specks throughout, but with much better resolution. Keep in mind these pics are from a 3GB file.
